Alternate Martin just shrugs, clearly not giving much care to the 2/3 Jack or his complaints. He's about to shoot another bolt to the other Jack when he stops, giving the native Jack an odd look. "You don't know? Do you just not...ever test your powers? Wow...I thought Jack wasn't the brightest but you're..."
Native Martin frowns at his alternate self. "Stop that, just leave him alone." Besides, he didn't want to get into /more/ trouble, Jack might not be able to die but if the guy wasn't sure if he could reform...that was a problem.
"Why do you care?" Alternate Martin spins on his disc to face his other self. "They don't matter you know, they're not magic," he says in such a matter-of-fact way, as if it was an obvious thing that he was surprised his double didn't know, as if his other had objected to swatting flies. "Magic is the only thing that matters. You're magic, I'm magic, they're not. What's the big deal?"
Native Martin just blinks at this way of thinking. Sure, he did think magic was the most important, but it didn't mean non-magic things didn't matter. And he had quite a few non-magic people he quite liked, he wouldn't hold such disregard for them just because of that. "Magic is the best," he says. "But non-magic things aren't nothing just because magic is the best. So stop it, this is our HQ, just go back where you came from." His own eyes begin to glow a threatening blue, adding an 'or else' to the end of that statement.
