It turns out today that he'd seen people dressing oddly, and had decided there was no harm in going out in his asgardian clothes, with the swords visible. He got looks, but they seemed more admiring. Even a few odd compliments (he thought they were compliments) of 'Great costume' and such. Odd, but he wasn't going to question a day where it was acceptable not to wear midgard clothes.
He found Svalin's presents, and was quite surprised by them, but a beautiful woman giving you gifts? Well, one did not refuse them or lose the opportunity to thank her and show appreciation.
