"Family is just important to me, Phil. I always wanted one of my own. To settle down, raise a few children with a wife, grow old, and then watch as my family starts families of their very own." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Living in the here and now mentality does not work for me. I live over a thousand years just going day to day. Forgive me if it sounds greedy, but I want more out of my life. I want to spend the rest of my days with someone I love dearly." He carefully removed the chicken from the makeshift roaster, and then placed it on a plate.
"I will never age, never experience what it is like to truly grow old. Despite that small quip, I am still mortal, and I still desire that dream." He starts carving up the chicken with a knife he took with him from the kitchen.
"Now then, who wants some chicken?"
