He's used to following her instructions, since they're usually for a good reason, and his head is usually ridiculously far in the clouds, better to just go along with it.
He's been glad for the switch to Italian, he needs the practice since he has a tendency when swapping among the romance languages to end up with a French accent if he's not careful. He learned them as part of the same tree, all at once, due to the similarities, and he was best with French.
"No problem. Thank you for joining me for dinner... and dragging me away from the homework to have dinner in the first place."
