Evan rolled over in bed, where he was warm and toasty and really didn't want to get up. But, he looked at the clock anyway and grumbled when he saw what time it was. He ran his hands through his hair, still feeling sore from the night before, then crawled on top of Lucius and kissed him deeply.

"Oi." Evan kissed him softly, then let out a sigh. "Could you drive me to school? I'm late."

	Evan thought that maybe Lucius was being stood up at the alter. He chewed at his lip as he took the phone and punched in her number. "I love you." He told him, giving him a fake, reassuring smile as he held the phone up to his ear, waiting to see if Narcissa was going to answer or not. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Narcissa was speeding down the road as fast as she could in Lucius's stupid, lurching little sportscar. Why couldn't she have stolen something easier to drive? She did her best to shift the clutch and then dug her phone out of the bodice of her dress. She supposed this meant they'd noticed she was gone. She glanced at the number. It seemed unlikely that it was actually Lucius calling, unless their parents had made him.

"I'm not doing it," she said, pressing the phone to her ear. She let out a shaky breath, feeling herself start to tear up. "I don't know what I'll do instead, but I'm not doing it and no one can make me."

"Evan?" Narcissa bit her bottom lip hard. Of course Lucius wouldn't even call her himself. She pushed her foot down harder on the pedal. When she got back to civilization, she'd drive the speed limit. "I'm not going to marry him. He doesn't love me. He doesn't even like me. I don't -- Why am I the only one who doesn't get to be properly in love and happy?"

She pressed the phone between her shoulder and ear so she could wipe at her eyes. "It's not sudden. It's not sudden at all. You and Christina are just so busy being happy. He's gay and he's a drug addict and he's... you can have him, okay? You can have the whole wedding. Tell Lucius I stole his car but I'll give it back later."

"Cissa. You can't do this." Evan told her calmly. As calmly as he could, anyway. "Marrying Lucius will not be the worst thing that ever happened to you. You can be in love and you can be happy too. You have Thor."

He chewed at his bottom lip. "I'm willing to give up Lucius for you. So that you aren't disowned and so you have somewhere to go. Being married to him is not going to be horrible ad you are definitely not the only one who doesn't get to be happy. I can never marry him. Even if the two of you aren't together."

"I want a husband who loves me. I want a boyfriend who asks me to move in with him and a baby we love together. I don't want this. I don't want any of it. I don't... just... I can't. I can't marry someone who doesn't even want to be my friend."

She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, then shook her head and focused on the road again. "Do you really think Thor wants to spend the rest of his life as the boyfriend of a woman married to another man? Do you think any decent, loving guy does? I don't care if you're with Lucius, Evan. I don't want Lucius. Stop trying to talk me into spending the rest of my life sleeping alone in my room in that stupid fucking manor. I'm done with all of this." Narcissa hung up the phone.

"I think that Thor loves you very much. And I think that the fact that he's willing to forgo all of that, just to spend the rest of his life with you, shows a lot more than him being an unloving man. It shows that, no matter what, he wants to be with you. Even if you're married to someone else."

Evan shook his head, even if she couldn't see it. "Why don't you ask him? He's here at your wedding and he's holding flowers for you, Cissa."

Narcissa pulled the car over, breaking down and sobbing against the steering wheel. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life as Mrs. Malfoy. She wanted to be poor and happy like Sirius and Andromeda were.

"Fine," she said. "Put Thor on the phone. I don't want to talk to you anymore anyway." Thor would tell her that she was doing the right thing. Maybe he'd come pick her up and they could just keep driving.

"No," Narcissa said, shaking her head, even if Thor couldn't see it. "I ran away. I stole Lucius's car. I don't want to get married to him. He doesn't love me."

She wiped at her eyes. "I love you, and we never got to do any of the stuff that Evan and Christina got to do with their boyfriends. You're going to leave me because I'm going to be married and Lucius doesn't like me at all and I'm just going to be alone in his stupid, big house. Why is me wanting to marry a man who loves me so bad?"

"First of all, I'm not going to leave you." Thor told her with a frown, even if she couldn't see it. He sighed softly. "Secondly, you haven't gotten to do the stuff that Evan and Christina have gotten to do because Lucius and Tom are older and richer than I am."

He ran a hand over his hair. "I can't ask you to move into my parents house. It would be weird. But, as soon as I get my own place, you can live with me. You won't have to live with Lucius. You'll just be his wife on paper. But, you'll be my wife in my heart."

"I will marry you. Just like it's real." Thor promised her with a smile, tearing up a bit. "And you can invite all the people you love and want there. And it'll be you and I and we'll get married and have babies."

Thor was quiet for a moment, then took a deep breath. "Come back, Narcissa." He told her quietly. "Come back so that you and I can be together and be happy."

A large part of Narcissa still didn't want to go, but she wanted Thor. She flipped the visor down so she could see how badly she'd messed up her make-up. "Okay," she said, wiping around her eyes with her finger. "I'm coming back, but you have to meet me outside with some makeup wipes."

Being married wasn't that different from not being married, honestly. There had been the runaway bride scare, and Narcissa was still quite cold to him, but she was pregnant with his son now, so Lucius was forcing her to spend more time with him. She kept her protests minimal as long as Evan or Thor were around too. "You can't walk around too much," Lucius said, watching Narcissa cross the room balancing her iPad and a plate of biscuits with a cup of tea. "You know what the doctor said."

"I'm not doing any heavy lifting," Narcissa said, frowning at Lucius and easing herself onto the couch, touching her rounded stomach. "You're not supposed to be causing me any stress."

"Calm down. The both of you." Thor told Narcissa and took the plate of biscuits from her, so she wasn't carrying too much. He kissed her shoulder. "I'm sure Lucius is just nervous about you losing the baby and him having to partake in things we wish we all hadn't had to be around for."

Evan snorted at that. "It took two weeks for him to get over the trauma, Cissa. I can't handle that again."

Narcissa rolled her eyes at that. "I don't care how gay he is, he had both of you naked in bed with him and nothing went inside him that he didn't want in him. He's just a big baby." She took a sip of her tea. "We had one little scare. The baby is going to be fine. He's nice and strong and stubborn. He wants to be born." She smiled down at her bump. "Just a few more months, Baby."

Lucius rolled his eyes at all of them. "This kid is going to give me grey hairs before I'm thirty," he said. "He's already way too much trouble. Someone should have given me the phone. I could have told you to just keep running."

Evan slapped Lucius's arm hard and frowned at him. "I think everyone needs to calm down. And Lucius needs to stop being such a cunt. You're not helping anything by being mean to her. And I'm not going to allow you to talk to her like that. She's pregnant and she's stubborn. Those are a lethal combination. I, for one, would like Draco to come out in an anger free zone."

Thor sighed and reached over, rubbing Narcissa's belly. "You look beautiful today." He told her with a soft smile. "I love you."
