Walden was excited for Romy to come over now that he was unpacked. He was telling himself he was excited anyway. He wanted to be excited, but he felt so weird about Pyxis and Dudley. Were they dating now? He couldn't quite tell. He wanted both of them to be happy, just... maybe not with each other.

He looked down at Taylor Swift in his arms, scratching her behind the ears. "Your Mum's going to be here soon," he promised her. "Then you won't have Loras trying to get in on all your cuddles all the time. I promise."

Romy was kind of concerned about seeing Walden again. They'd talked, but they hadn't really talked. She took a deep breath as she stood outside of his door, wondering if he was going to break up with her or not. His mother and grandmother hated her, after all.

She worried her lip, then took another deep breath and knocked on the door.

Walden looked up when he heard the knock on the door, walking over and pulling it open, holding Taylor Swift behind his back. He smiled at Romy, leaning down and kissing her cheek because he wasn't sure if he was allowed to kiss anywhere else yet. "Come in," he said, stepping back. "I have a surprise for you."

He pulled the kitten out from behind his back, holding her out to Romy. "Taylor Swift missed you so she came all the way to London with me looking for you."

Romy stepped into the house and looked at the kitten, letting out a surprised noise. "You brought her? I didn't think I was allowed to have her." She told him, taking the kitten from him and holding it against her chest.

"Taylor Swift seems like a ridiculous name, doesn't it?" She asked, looking up at Walden. "I've missed you."

Walden grinned at Romy and the kitten, shaking his head. They looked so sweet together. Romy and her cute little ball of fluff. "Nah, it's a cute name," he said. "We can come up with a nickname for her. It'll be good."

He wrapped his arms around Romy, kissing her forehead as he held her close, careful of the kitten. "I've missed you too," he said. "Mum and gran calmed down a bit. I think it was just the initial shock that got them. Now that they'd had some time, they're being better about everything."

For some reason, Romy doubted that. She looked up at Walden and shook her head. "You don't have to sugar coat things for me, Wallie. You don't have to make things seem better because you're in London and I have no way of finding out how they really feel."

She looked down at her kitten. "The only nickname is Tay and that's weird. We should call her Diamond. Because she shines bright like a diamond."

"They still don't like your father," Walden said, shaking his head. "They're never going to like him. But they know they shouldn't have taken out what he did on you."

He kissed Romy softly and then leaned down and kissed the kitten too. "Okay. We'll call her Diamond. I like that name for her. She's looking forward to going home with you. Loras keeps trying to cut in on her cuddles."

"Who is Loras?" Romy asked as she walked over to the couch and took a seat with Diamond in her lap. She kissed her forehead gently and cuddled up to her.

"We could call her Dia as a nickname." She smiled. "Do you like that too?"

Walden nodded, taking a seat next to Romy. He was just glad she looked so happy with her new kitten. "Dia sounds great to me," he said. "It's really cute, just like the two of you."

He wrapped an arm around Romy's shoulders. "Loras is Pyxis's kitten," he said. "He's a diva. She decided to move in with me and Dudley. She and Dudley are dating now, I think. They're... doing other things together now, at least. The walls aren't thick enough."

Romy looked back at Walden sadly. He was living with Pyxis? He knew how she felt about her. What would make him want to live with her? She stared at him for a long moment, then frowned.

"You're living with Pyxis?" Romy asked, shaking her head. "Why didn't you ask me about this first? You know how I feel about her. And you gave her a kitten." She looked at Diamond. "I thought I was special."

Walden gave all his friends a kitten, but this didn't seem like a good time to tell Romy that. "She was helping us find a flat and she told us she was moving in too. It wasn't planned," Walden promised. "I know it's going to be a bit awkward, but if she bothers you I'll tell her off."

He lifted Romy's chin up so he could kiss her gently. She was so pretty and he felt so bad about hurting her. He'd be good, especially since Pyxis and Dudley were together now. He wouldn't cheat on Romy ever again. "You are special. You're my girlfriend."

"You're not making me feel very special right now." Romy told him quietly. "You've just told me you've made friends with my enemy and moved in with her. Doesn't exactly make me feel good."

She shook her head. "You didn't ask me to move in. I know we haven't been dating that long, but it just seems a bit... I don't know." She shrugged. "You moved in with her. She's probably going to try to sleep with you just to hurt me."

"I didn't ask her to move in either," Walden told Romy. "I'm not going to sleep with her. She's not going to try and sleep with me either. She's dating my best mate and I'm dating you. I don't want to hurt either of you."

He pulled Romy into his lap. "We're all going to the same college. That's why we're living together. That's all, Romy. I promise. You wouldn't cheat on me just because you were living with someone, right?"

Romy frowned at that question and what it implied, because she had. But, she knew that wasn't the right answer. She wasn't stupid. She shook her head and looked up at Walden.

"No. But, I'm not a slut either." She pointed out, then looked back at Walden. She leaned in and pressed their lips together. "But, you'd sleep with me, wouldn't you?"

"You're my girlfriend and the most beautiful girl I've ever met," Walden promised, smiling down at Romy. "Of course I would. You're a special case in everything."

He kissed her again, picking her up in his arms. "I'm going to give you a tour of the flat. This is our kitchen and living and dining room," Walden said, turning in a slow circle so she could see all of it.

"It's a very bohemian, cluttered living space." Romy told him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "And I like it. I think it suits you pretty well. Even if I never got to see your room in Surrey."

She kissed him softly. "Where's the next room?" She asked, running her fingers through his hair.

"The bathroom." Pyxis replied, rolling her eyes at the two of them. Why did she feel so jealous? "But, Dudley is brushing his teeth. Duds! Get out."

"Oh, hey," Walden said, giving Pyxis a slightly nervous smile when she showed up. They were done though. Pyxis had declared them done when she'd started dating Dudley. "Romy renamed her kitten. She's Diamond now, but we're going to call her Dia for short."

Dudley opened the door to the loo, wiping toothpaste off his mouth with the back of his hand. "What?" he asked. "I need fresh breath. I have a girlfriend now." Dudley looked at the girl in Walden's arms for a moment, then raised an eyebrow. "This Romy?"

Romy looked at Pyxis, scowling, but she wanted to be nice to Dudley. The poor boy. Agreeing to go out with Pyxis was so bad. He didn't know what he was in for. She slid out of Walden's arms and walked past Pyxis to get to the boy.

"Yes. Hello." Romy held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Dudley. Walden has told me a lot about you."

Pyxis looked at Walden and frowned for a moment, then turned around. "We should go out, Duds. Find something to do so these two can be alone. I'm sure Romy hasn't had it in weeks." She arched a brow at Romy, taking Dudley's hand into her own.

Dudley was about to shake Romy's hand when Pyxis grabbed his and started getting catty about her. Walden had not warned him about this. "It's, uh, nice to meet you too, Romy," he said. "I guess I'm going out now, since the missus wants to go. Do... you two want anything while we're out?"

"I think we're okay. Thanks, Duds," Walden said, trying not to feel too confused and exasperated by the way Romy and Pyxis bickered with each other. Maybe Romy was right and Pyxis living here was going to suck.

Romy said her goodbyes to Dudley, ignoring Pyxis. She walked back over to Walden and sighed softly before she pulled him into a kiss and pressed closer.

"Why don't you show me where your room is?" She smiled. "And then I can cook you some sort of dinner. Even if all I know how to cook is potatoes."

"Potatoes worse for me. It's even vegetarian," Walden said, smiling at Romy and picking her up. He carried her down the hall to his bedroom and opened the door. "This is my room."

He looked around as he stepped inside, walking over to scratch Winky behind the ears. "I know it's a bit bare still. I'm not that great at decorating."

Everything about Walden was much different than his father. Romy walked into his room and grinned. "It's very Van Gogh. It reminds me of that painting." She told him, then walked over to kiss him.

"I like it. Do I get to sleep here?" Romy played with the collar of his shirt. "Will that bed hold us both?"

Walden smiled at Romy, glancing at the bed. "You can sleep here if you want to," he said, nodding. "I think we'll both fit. You're so tiny."

He kissed her again and then sat on his bed, patting the space beside him. "Let's see if you do. I can always cuddle you close."

Romy crawled onto the bed with him. It was kind of a tight squeeze, but she didn't mind so much. She liked how big Walden was. At least the bed was long.

"I think we'll fit." She told him, then crawled into his lap. "It's better like this."

Walden laughed at that, wrapping his arms around Romy loosely and resting his hands on the small of her back. "It definitely is," he agreed, smiling at her. He leaned in to steal a kiss, trying to be gentle with her as he rubbed her back. Walden didn't want to scare her off.

"I've missed being able to touch you," he said, smiling at her. "And talk to you. Look at you. Having you around. With me in London, it's going to be a lot easier to be a proper boyfriend to you."

"You can have all of those things now. I'm around. You can touch me." Romy kissed Walden's neck slowly down to his shoulder, then bit down gently to leave a tiny mark.

"I've missed not having you touch me." Romy slid off her dress and let it drop to the floor, looking back at him. "I miss how you feel inside of me."
