"I can't believe he's taking your phone away. That should be illegal," Narcissa said, making a face as she took a sip of her latte. She looked at Evan. "Is the Headmaster at you school a total fascist too? How are we supposed to talk in class? It's not fair."

Christina laughed. "We're not supposed to talk in class, Cissa. That's the point," she said. "He was threatening to take away everyone's phones, so I consider this a win. Did you know he's not even that old? I thought he'd be ancient. He's hot in a daddy issues kind of way."

	Evan frowned at that. "I'm not trying to make you miserable. I'm sorry." He leaned in and kissed her forehead, then got out of the car. He walked around and opened the door for her with a sigh. 	"Okay. I'm going to get chicken fingers." Evan told her and smiled. He took her hand and led her into the diner, pausing when he saw Lucius there. He frowned for a moment, then turned and looked at her. "I-" He frowned. "I don't know why he's here." But, he was with another man. Narcissa glanced at Lucius, meeting his eyes for a moment and then glancing at the man he was with. Just because Lucius was with a man didn't mean he was on a date with one, right? She frowned to herself, concentrating on Evan instead.

"We're not going to let him spoil our fun," she said, sliding into the booth. She kept herself facing away from Lucius and his maybe-date. "Him and his boyfriend or whoever it is. Is he cute? I didn't really look at him."

	Evan looked at Lucius, where he was, and frowned. "Not really, no." He told her and then shrugged. "We're not going to let this ruin our date. We're supposed to be making him jealous. Remember?" "Well, we'll definitely have a better chance of making him jealous if we're on a date right in front of him," Narcissa said, smiling back at Evan and squeezing his hand. "I'm just going to pretend the thought of liking men never crossed your mind for the rest of the night, Mr. Bisexual."

She laughed. "I love you too, but you're going to have to be very charming if you want to make babies with me later. I'm a good girl."

"Shush," Narcissa said, blushing when Evan kissed her. "I am a good girl, even if I read dirty novels and do those things. Maybe you just want me to be bad." She nodded when he got up. "I'll get you a burger."

Lucius had been half-watching Evan and Narcissa since they walked into the diner. He'd expected Narcissa to flounce over and start giving him puppy eyes and talking about the camping trip they were apparently going on, but she'd shown remarkable restraint. Then Evan was kissing her and walking away. Lucius waiting until the waitress was taking Narcissa's order, then excused himself and walked into the loo after Evan. "Bit odd, don't you think?" he asked. "You showing up here?"

"I mean you can get in her knickers tonight if you want to beat me to it, but I've had you and I know I'm more likely to show her a good time than you. Teenagers are always a little quick on the draw," Lucius said, looking down at Evan when he stepped closer.

He leaned in, brushing their lips together for a moment, then got out of Evan's way, as requested. "Have fun tonight."

Evan frowned at that. Lucius had no idea what he was talking about. He growled and grabbed him, slamming him back against the bathroom door. "You couldn't even get it up for her unless you were thinking about a bloke. At least I can get hard because of her."

He punched Lucius hard in the mouth. "And I'm a teenager. I can go for hours." He pulled him back and walked back out of the loo.

Narcissa looked up from eating the whip cream off her milkshake when the bathroom door opened, giving Evan a concerned look. "I ordered you chocolate," she said, nodding to his milkshake across the table. "What happened?"

She watched Lucius emerge from the bathroom, looking ruffled and angry. He frowned at them as he passed. Narcissa looked away, at Evan. "Did you two get into a fight?"

"He --" Narcissa looked at Lucius, frowning at the back of his head in his stupid booth and then looked at Evan again, kissing the back of her hand. "I'm supposed to marry him, Evan. How..."

She looked down at her food, feeling a lot less hungry now, then pulled her hand away from him so she could slide her engagement ring off and put it away in her purse. Narcissa pressed her lips together for a moment, until she was pretty sure she was in control of her emotions again, and then she looked up at Evan and smiled. "Forget it," she said. "I want to go back to pretending I really have a boyfriend who cares."

Narcissa squeezed Evan's hand. "I love you too," she said, voice soft. "Can we -- I just want to eat and have a nice time. I want to forget about it for now. Even if he was gay it would be better. Way better than finding out he said something like that about me."

She took a sip of her milkshake. "I'm not up for grabs. I don't belong to anyone. I'm my own person and even if that's what my parents want for me, it's not what I want."

"I don't want it to be," Narcissa said, looking up at Evan. She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, glancing at Lucius and his friend again. If he'd gotten bitchy about it, maybe it was because he was jealous of Evan taking her out. Maybe his phrasing hadn't been exactly the way Evan had put it.

She relaxed a little, turning her attention back to Evan and smiling. "I want to have fun with you. Let's just stop thinking about him. Let's talk about Christina having a thing for an old man instead. That's much more fun. I'm going to text her naughty things while he has her phone to see if he reads them."
