Merlin was so tired. It was Wednesday night and the fast food place he was working at was jam packed all night. His feet were sore and he smelled like a giant grease ball. Worst of all, he was too tired to even take off his uniform. He sighed heavily as he fell onto his couch, curling up into a ball and letting out a loud groan, slipping his shoes off.

This was just him getting by. This was him making a better future for himself and not taking handouts. He was a big boy.

	Merlin sighed heavily and nodded. "Yeah. I know. I just... I want to give him everything. And I have nothing to give him. I feel like I'm not good enough for him anymore. In every part of my life." Lucius kissed Merlin's temple. "Draco is a spoiled brat," he said. "I'm as responsible for that as Narcissa is, I know. He doesn't need anything physical. He just needs you to dote on him a bit, when you have the energy for it."

He combed his fingers through Merlin's hair, petting at him. "And when you're older and you've established yourself, you'll be able to give him more and you'll know he's not just with you for your money."
