Rider knew Romy was dating Walden or whatever, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way. Romy still had sex with him before. He didn't see why Walden living in London should change that. Except... it kind of had. She had some weird fluffy kitten that was living with them now and she was always going to see him and Rider was very put out about it. Even if Walden wasn't trying to kill him because Rider and Romy hadn't really been alone together so he assumed he'd talked them out of having sex together or something.

He looked at the kitten, curled up on top of the living room couch, and sighed. Romy was out or something and Rider was the only one currently home. He reached out and scooped the cat up, rubbing his face against her and then walking into the kitchen. "What do you eat?" he asked, opening the fridge. "You probably don't want jerky." He took out some cold chicken, sitting at the kitchen island. "I'll feed you and we'll be friends from now on."

Rider snorted at that. "I'm sure he has been, since you're his little princess." He looked down at Romy when she slipped between his thighs, wrapping his arms around her. "I'm not pouty."

Romy laughed at that. "I don't know. Maybe." She kissed his cheek and leaned into his touch, closing her eyes. She loved Rider. She really did. And she missed him. But, she'd been trying to be a proper girlfriend.

"In her defense, you did break up with her." Romy pointed out. "You could come with me to their flat sometime. If you want. I know she misses you. She mentions you sometimes. You could size up her new boyfriend."

"She didn't want to be with me either. She was fucking other people," Rider said, shaking his head. He liked Pyxis and Romy both too much to straight up out Pyxis for screwing Romy's boyfriend, but still. He deserved some credit. He wasn't the only reason they'd broken up.
