Rider knew Romy was dating Walden or whatever, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way. Romy still had sex with him before. He didn't see why Walden living in London should change that. Except... it kind of had. She had some weird fluffy kitten that was living with them now and she was always going to see him and Rider was very put out about it. Even if Walden wasn't trying to kill him because Rider and Romy hadn't really been alone together so he assumed he'd talked them out of having sex together or something.

He looked at the kitten, curled up on top of the living room couch, and sighed. Romy was out or something and Rider was the only one currently home. He reached out and scooped the cat up, rubbing his face against her and then walking into the kitchen. "What do you eat?" he asked, opening the fridge. "You probably don't want jerky." He took out some cold chicken, sitting at the kitchen island. "I'll feed you and we'll be friends from now on."

"I think Walden doesn't like being with me." Romy admitted as she looked back at Dudley. "I don't think he likes me very much. And I try really hard."

"I have only been with you outside of Dudley outside of yesterday." Pyxis teared up as she looked at him, then shook her head. "Of course, you've started seeing me as everyone else does. As nothing more than a slut rather than the girl who is falling in-" She stopped. "Fuck off, Macnair."

"Nah, Walden likes you a lot," Dudley said, frowning a bit. "He's always talking about you, Romy. I hear about you from him all the time. I don't know why you'd think he didn't fancy you like he does. He thinks you're brilliant."

"I don't see you like that!" Walden snapped, frowning at Pyxis and pulling her closer. "I never said I saw you like that. I made a joke." He looked down at her for a long moment. "And I'm sorry it hurt you like it did. I don't think of you as a slut. I just don't think of me as someone... I mean, why would you? I'm nothing special."

"If he liked me, why didn't he ask me to go to Spain with him?" Romy asked him quietly, then shook her head. "It doesn't matter. It's not like I have to marry my first boyfriend, right?"

Pyxis looked up at Walden with her eyes full of tears. "It did hurt. You know that I'm sensitive about things like that. And..." She closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I don't understand why you put yourself down like that."

"Right," Dudley agreed, sighing. He kind of felt like Walden taking his girlfriend to Spain was a bit off too, but he'd been pushing his feelings about it aside. "They're both really into that stuff though. Walden didn't ask me either and I'm his best mate."

Walden leaned down and kissed Pyxis's forehead, wiping at her tears with his thumbs. "I've never really had a girl like me before, Pyxis. Even Romy is spending her time sleeping with other boys, apparently. It just... seems safer to assume girls don't like me like that."

"It's not right. It doesn't matter if I'm not into it." Romy sighed softly and looked down at her hands. "It's just... upsetting. That's all. I guess I shouldn't complain about it."

Pyxis looked up at Walden before she pulled away. "I have a boyfriend and you have a girlfriend. It doesn't matter."

"I dunno. If you're not happy about stuff I feel like you should say something, you know? My mum always tells my dad when she doesn't like something. It's communication and stuff." Dudley shrugged. "Especially if you're upset."

Walden sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Right," he said. Even though Pyxis kept cheating on Dudley. "Of course. Dudley's a really great bloke."
