Romy had felt really guilty since Walden had come back from Spain. She'd missed hanging out with just Dudley, but she knew she couldn't just hang around the flat all day. And she kind of missed her friends, if she was being honest. So much had gone on and she'd not been around them for a while. So, she'd sat up a lunch date after reading through all her texts from Pansy.

She smiled as she took a seat at the table with Draco, kissing his cheek. "I have missed you. I want to know every thing that's gone on in your life." She told him, slipping her hand into his.

	Charlie laughed at that. "I'm not going to kill you. I wouldn't want to make your day even worse. Hold on." He texted Draco the address to his house and then put it to his ear again. Draco showed up at the address Charlie gave him, grateful to see Charlie was actually outside the building and hadn't just been blowing him off. He paid the driver and got out of the cab, a bit unsteady on his feet.

"Hi," he said, looking at Charlie for a moment. "I don't know why I'm here." It felt a little bit awkward now. He was sobering up. "I think I need to drink some more."

	"I've got some stuff upstairs. I won't be drinking." Charlie told him with a warm smile. "I'll have to be sober to make sure you don't trip over yourself and die or something." He reached out and wrapped Draco's arm around his shoulders, helping him up the stairs to his flat. He pushed open the door and stepped inside. "What do you want to drink?" "Whiskey," Draco said, looking around Charlie's flat and then finding the couch and collapsing onto it. "I don't need ice or anything. Just booze. Vodka, I guess, if you don't have whiskey."

He looked up at Charlie. "My father drinks scotch and it's awful and he bought Merlin a bottle when he gave him his old flat to live in and they've been having all sorts of private meetings to talk about things. And Merlin and I were in the shower and my father walked into the bathroom like it was nothing and I should have seen or suspected or something and I didn't." He got his phone out, finding the picture of Merlin and his father kissing and holding it out so Charlie could see. "Pansy and Romy don't get it. Their boyfriends are nice to them."

	"You definitely don't need that photo on your phone to keep looking at." Charlie told him, shaking his head. "You should delete it. You're only going to drive yourself mental staring at it." "Pansy told me to take it and not make a scene in the restaurant," Draco said, looking at the photo again. "I didn't know what to do so I just did what she told me to." He put his phone face down on the table and took one of the drinks.

"I love him," he agreed. "And it sucks." Draco drained the glass in his hand and put it back on the table. "I feel like if... I don't know. I always thought Merlin and I would get together and then that would be it. I'd be with him for the rest of my life. And now I'm not going to do that because I can't not break up with him. It hurts so bad, but maybe if Pansy and Romy hadn't seen too... maybe it would have been okay and I could have ignored it."

"You should never have to ignore your boyfriend sleeping with someone else." Charlie told him quietly, shaking his head. "That's just... No. You can't ignore something like that. Ever."

He leaned back on the couch and looked at the boy. "Maybe after a while, if you still love him and you still want to be with him, the two of you will find a way back to each other."

"Maybe," Draco said, picking up the other drink, sipping from the glass this time. "If Merlin doesn't find someone better first."

He made a face. "I just want to forget about him for a while. Just... I don't know." Draco looked at Charlie. "Tell me about dinosaurs. I bet dinosaurs never had this problem. If I'd grown up into a T-rex like I wanted to then I could just eat everyone and I wouldn't have to worry about this."

"Well, I don't want to be a fucking penguin or pigeon or something," Draco said, wrinkling his nose at the thought. "I guess I might as well want to be a dragon. It won't make any difference."

He looked at Charlie, taking another sip from his drink. "Plenty of men will want to fuck me," Draco agreed. "I'll probably shag a million blokes to try and get Merlin out of my system. But then I have to find someone who wants to stay and that's hard and scary."

"Focus on myself." Draco wrinkled his nose, but honestly it sounded like the kind of advice his mother would give him so he should probably listen to it. He looked up at Charlie. "School starts again in a couple of days. That will probably help, although Merlin and I go to the same college, which won't."

He shifted so his head was in Charlie's lap, taking Charlie's hand and putting it on top of his head. "Pet me," he demanded. "Maybe I should get a job. That would show Merlin. He thinks I'm lazy."

"Romy, Pansy, and Thoreau are all going to the same college as me too," Draco said, closing his eyes and making a happy sound when Charlie started to pet him. So maybe he was like a cat. So what? "Besides, I'd have to ask my father and I don't really want to talk to him right now. My mum would just ask why and then she'd probably tell me I couldn't run away from my problems and try and get me and Merlin back together because she reads all these romance novels and I don't want to tell her Father slept with him."

He preened a bit when Charlie complimented his hair. "I do," he agreed. "I don't have to dye it or anything." Draco glanced up at Charlie. "I'm a bit lazy," he admitted. He felt he should be honest, since Charlie was petting at him and complimenting him. "But I get good grades and I have my own ambitions and my father doesn't pay any attention to that. I don't think Merlin knows. I think Merlin thinks I want to shop and throw parties like my mum, but Mum also wins prizes for her roses, you know? She and Thor are happy."
