Evan was kind of annoyed with his sister, if he was being honest. She'd decided to go on some kind of secret mission the same weekend they'd decided to go camping. So to keep the evening nice, he invited the only straight boy he knew that was actually straight. He was waiting for Lucius and Narcissa to show up at the camp meeting spot, leaning against the camper he'd borrowed from his parents.

"So... Camping." Thorfin asked with a snort, looking at Evan. "I'm actually really good at camping. But.. You want me to flirt with a girl whose fiance will be here?"

"That's the idea." Evan told him, nodding. "Flirt with her and piss him off. It'll be great fun. There they are."

Lucius cut off a bit of his potato and smirked at Thor. "You should be happy I'm ignoring my fiance," he told him. "You're the one who was kissing her. Being outside and sleeping in a tent is miserable. Drinking gets your through it."

Narcissa rolled her eyes at Lucius. "Even I'm not that skeptical of camping," she said. "You're awful, Lucius. It's not that bad. And Evan's steak and potatoes are lovely."

"I actually tried really hard to make it enjoyable for everyone." Evan replied, feeling kind of down about the way Lucius was reacting to it all. He looked down at his steak for a moment, then sighed and pushed it aside, walking over to the tent and slid inside.

"Way to go, arse. You upset him." Thor frowned down at Lucius, then took his plate. "Go fix it or I'll wreck your face."

Lucius frowned back at Thor. "You'll wreck my face?" he repeated, incredulously. But he probably would. He looked like he was capable of it. Lucius rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll go see him," he said, getting to his feet and leaving Thor and Narcissa alone. He got into the tent with Evan, sighing and staring down at him. "Why did you invite me here?"

Narcissa liked Thor making Lucius go do the right thing. She touched his arm, smiling at him. "Thank you," she said, leaning up and kissing the other boy's cheek. "Lucius needed someone to shake some sense into him. Evan's worked so hard on this."

"Originally it was to prove to Narcissa that you were gay. So that she wouldn't marry you." Evan told him quietly, hiding his face in the pillow. He was a little tipsy. "But, then I wanted to get to know you. And now I don't. I tried so hard on this. On making sure everything was going to be nice for you."

Thor nodded. "I know he has. He fancies your fiance." He told her with a shrug. "And he doesn't want you to hate him for it. So he hasn't said anything yet. He told me on the ride here."

"Narcissa's family won't care if I'm gay. They'll want her to marry me anyway," Lucius pointed out, frowning a little as he settled down beside Evan in the tent. "I don't understand. You hate me. You punched me in the face the last time we had a conversation. Admittedly, I wasn't at my best, but we were only there because I was coming down from a really shitty high."

"He does?" Narcissa gave Thor a surprised look, then glanced at the tent again. "He should have said something to me. If Lucius really is gay, then of course I won't hate Evan for fancying him. Even if he isn't, it's not like Lucius cares about me. I might as well be his annoying little sister, the way he was talking."

"Maybe you shouldn't be so high all the time." Evan told him, shaking his head. "I was trying to listen to Narcissa and believe that you were a better person than you are. But, you haven't proved that tonight. If anything, you've made yourself seem worse."

"You deserve a lot better than that." Thor told her, shaking his head. He took her hand into his own. "Do you want to make some smores with me now?"

Lucius frowned at that. "You don't really know anything about me, Evan," he pointed out. "This is the third time we've spent time together. Narcissa doesn't know my either, but I'd prefer not to be judged by you when you haven't taken the time to get to know me in any non-superficial way."

Narcissa looked down at Thor's hand in hers and then smiled. "Yeah," she said. "Let's forget about Lucius and make smores and drink wine coolers. That sounds like fun."

"I'm trying to get to know you, Lucius. You act like you're superior to me or something." Evan frowned at him, shaking his head. "And the way you talk about Narcissa isn't exactly winning you any awards for best man of the year. I want to like you and I'm trying really hard. But, you've just been so shit to me."

He sighed heavily and shook his head, then undid his trousers. "Hand me my bag. I'm going to bed and I want my pajamas." He pushed his trousers down, laying there naked.

Lucius found himself stared at Evan for a moment when he stripped off. He didn't want to hand him his bag. He had such a nice body. Lucius grabbed the bag and pushed it towards Evan.

"I'm trying to get sober. More sober," Lucius said, after a moment. "I have a very controlling father. I've known exactly what my life was going to look like since I was small. Drugs were a way to relax. At the diner, I was with my sponsor. I did used to do things like get boys high to fuck them with four or five other people. Or just watch them get gang banged. But I'm cleaning up. So now you know things about me."

"So, you were lying earlier when I asked you about that?" Evan arched a brow and sighed softly. Of course Lucius was a drug head. He looked like one. It was probably why he was so pale and his eyes always looked so sunken.

He looked at his bag for a moment, then pulled out a pair of boxers and slid them on. "You're going to miss out on smores." He told him quietly. "If you're supposed to be cleaning up, you shouldn't have brought drugs."

"I'm allowed pot for now," Lucius told Evan. "It's not coke or pills. I only brought weed so I didn't freak out and give myself alcohol poisoning or something. This isn't a stress free vacation for me. This is spending a weekend with people I don't really know, who don't really like me."

He snorted, running a hand through his hair. "And I wouldn't call it lying. I didn't want you to know I used to do horrible things. You don't show people you're attracted to all your crazy at once." Lucius paused. "I don't need a smore. If I go out there, I'm liable to get punched again."

He looked at Lucius for a moment, then reached up and touched his jaw, running his finger along it. "Besides, he's harmless." Evan replied.
