Rabastan smiled as he led Walden down the street to a little shop he knew about. Walden had been really good to him and he was trying to get into good spirits again. He smiled to himself as he turned the corner and opened up the shop door, pulling Walden inside.

Another smile spread across his lips as he looked around the bdsm shop, then looked at Walden, who didn't look like it was all coming together. "I've been... You've been really good to me lately. And I wanted to do something special." He told him. "And I'm into this. I thought maybe you could pick out a collar for me to wear for you."

Walden didn't like the term boyfriend at all. Or the thought of dating another male. It was so... gay. Which he wasn't. But Rabastan got mad every time they tried to talk about how Walden wasn't gay. He looked down at Rabastan, pressed against his side and holding a bag containing collars and a leash.

"You're mine," he said, voice firm. "You belong to me and no one else is allowed to have you. I already told you I won't touch other people. I'm going to keep you safe and fucked and good. Okay?"

Rabastan looked up at Walden for a moment, trying not to pout. But, it was clear how he felt about the answer. He looked down at the bag in his hand, wondering if being called someone's was enough for him. Maybe he wouldn't get the butt tattoo. There was still a chance that Walden wouldn't want him after a while.

He kept walking, pulling away to duck into a sweets shop, looking at the selection of chocolates.

Walden sighed. It was always like this with Rabastan. Things were going well and then something just... happened and suddenly they weren't going so well. He followed him into the shop.

"I was thinking I could get your name tattooed on me too," he said, standing behind Rabastan as he looked at the chocolates. "It's long. I don't know where I'd put it. Maybe on my chest."

	"You don't have to get my name on your chest." Rabastan shook his head as he picked up a box of chocolates and some other things. "I don't see the point in it, really. You're not mine or anything." Walden didn't like hearing that at all. It kind of felt like when Rabastan said he didn't want to love him. Rabastan kept giving Walden all this stuff nobody had ever given him before and then snatching it back.

"Why not?" Walden demanded, frowning at Rabastan before he felt like grabbing the stupid candy out of his hand and then throwing it on the floor. "Because you only want my fucking cock?"

"Not right now I fucking don't," Walden said, scowling down at Rabastan. "You confuse me. You're all... You do things like you like me and then you pull away and you act all cold and I don't get it."

He ran a hand through his hair. "I'm not some... some fucking knight or whatever. I don't even really like people, but I like you, and sometimes I don't know what to do about that, but I want you to like that I like you and I'm hoping I do an okay job making you like me back. Because I've got these... feelings and I don't get feelings like this. I'm not like Weldon, all right? I've never done this sort of thing before. So just... okay?"

Rabastan looked at Walden sadly. "You've got feelings because you like me. You want to be with me. But, you've got all these ideas that you can't say that you really like me or say that you're my boyfriend. And I know it's because of your Dad, but he's not around you. He can't hear you say it. He won't know."

He brushed his fingers against Walden's wrist. "I just... I don't want to be with you and you decide that you don't want to be gay. I'm not asking you to be Weldon. I'm just asking you to be my boyfriend. A boyfriend who doesn't deny himself what he wants."

Walden hesitated, looking down at Rabastan's fingers against his wrist. Rabastan was... maybe right about all of this, but he still wasn't sure. "Don't like the term boyfriend," he said. "Sounds stupid. Insipid. Weldon's Arielle's boyfriend and she owns his balls."

He turned his hand so he was holding Rabastan's for a moment, then reached out and took the gummy's and chocolates from him. "I'll buy these for you," Walden said. He was pretty sure he had enough money left for it. "Lover or partner. Those are better than boyfriend. Boyfriend is stupid. It's silly. This isn't stupid or silly."

Rabastan hated the sound of partner and lover. But, he was willing to take it. "Lover." He told him after contemplating which he liked more. "Partner makes you sound like we're in a business together. And we're not."

The hand in his had been nice, though. He laughed at Walden and looked at the chocolates. "You don't have to get these. They're really expensive and I was only getting them because I felt sad. You can get the gummies, though."
