Tom had never been happy with a woman before. Christina was the first person he'd ever even liked. So, he was doing his best to make sure he didn't mess what they had up. He was a little concerned about their age difference, but it seemed as though it really didn't bother her. And they'd been together a couple of months. So.

He'd decided it was time to bring her home to his own house. He took a deep breath and turned the key to his place. "I even cleaned it up a bit."

Merlin was three years old. Lavinia was two. And because he was older, he had to help her out and teach her how to be smart. He was making her sit on the couch and she looked very grumpy about it. He was just thankful she wasn't great at talking yet.

He glanced at his uncle Evan when he brought in a blond baby and frowned. "No!" He said. "Not another. How old is he?"

"Almost two." Evan grinned down at Merlin. "This is Lucius's son Draco."

Merlin shook his head. "Too many babies. We don't need another baby!"

Christina came into the room behind Evan, laughing at Merlin and touching her rounded stomach. "Lucius and Evan thought you and Lala might like to play with Draco, since he doesn't have his brother yet."

Lavinia was not happy about Merlin and his stupid ideas about what she should be doing, but she was also pretty sure she agreed with him about the baby. She agreed with him about most things. "No baby," she said, crossing her arms over her chest and shaking her head.

Draco did not really like being away from his mother, even if Papa Evan was the next best thing to having her. When he heard Merlin and Lavinia saying they didn't need him, he started to tear up, holding on tighter to Evan and whining a little, because that usually got him his way with his mother.

Merlin looked up at Draco when he started crying. He frowned at him for a moment, then sighed. "Stop crying!" He demanded, then pointed at the floor beside Lavinia. "Put him there."

He walked back over to his book. "I'll teach him about apples too."

Draco reached up and wiped his eyes, giving his papa a pleading look. He didn't need to be left with these people. He could go back home and be with his mother. Everything would be just fine.

Lavinia sighed. She did not like Merlin's lessons. They were always so long and involved. "No apples," she said, and looked up at their mother for help. "Mummy, no apples."

Merlin frowned at Lavinia for a moment, then took Draco's hand and walked him over to the couch. He looked at him for a moment, then helped him up on the couch and pressed close to him.

"We'll just cuddle." Merlin informed him, closing his eyes. "My sister is mean."
