Tom had never been happy with a woman before. Christina was the first person he'd ever even liked. So, he was doing his best to make sure he didn't mess what they had up. He was a little concerned about their age difference, but it seemed as though it really didn't bother her. And they'd been together a couple of months. So.

He'd decided it was time to bring her home to his own house. He took a deep breath and turned the key to his place. "I even cleaned it up a bit."

"I like cake," Lavinia said, after spending a moment trying to decide if her not being a girl was insulting or not. She started walking towards where the cake was, grabbing Merlin to pull him with her.

Pansy was the best, and Draco liked her, and he wanted her to meet his other friends. When he saw Lavinia and Merlin walking through Merlin's party, he grabbed Pansy's hand so he could pull her over to see them. "Merlin, Lala," he said. "This is Pansy. We're going to get married."

	Merlin did not like that at all. He frowned at the girl and rolled his eyes. "Your dress is ugly. No one wears pink." He informed her and then walked away from Draco. He didn't have time for this. 	Draco had no idea why Merlin was being mean. He shot a confused look after the other boy, then wrapped his arms around Pansy. "I dunno," he said. "It's okay. I'll still marry you." But, Pansy seemed to be forever. Draco hung around her so often that it drove Merlin mad. He was an angry little seven year old. He ran his hands through his hair and tried not to pout.

"Come on, Draco." Merlin pulled at the sleeve of his jacket. "I'm not going to let you be late to the first day of class. Pansy can go with Lavinia to their side of school. We'll see them at lunch."

Draco wasn't happy about his best friend being pulled away from him for some stupid school, but Merlin was right about them being later. "Okay, okay. Hold on," he said, and kissed Pansy's cheek. "I'll see you at lunch, Pans. Promise."

He looked up at Merlin, slipping his hand into the other boy's. "Why do they have to put us in different groups?" he asked, because Merlin usually know everything.

	"Because our school is for boys and hers is for girls. It's across the street." He pointed out, frowning at Draco. "Why can't you spend time with me like you used to?" He was trying not to pout. Draco decided not to point out that Pansy was his best friend too. "I could wear a skirt," he said, grumbling. "Mummy says I've very pretty. I could go to the girl's school."

He let Merlin lead him towards their school though. "I don't get to be in your class, though. 'Cause you're older than me and I have to start at the bottom. If I was in your class that it would be okay. I wouldn't mind being in a different school than her."

	Draco did care about Merlin, though, and he was scared. He didn't know anyone else in his school and now Merlin was walking away. He ran to catch up with him, taking his hand again. 	It was kind of like what his mother had said to him before he left for school and it didn't really help, but okay. Draco would take it. He nodded. "I know I'm great. I just want them to know too." Merlin nodded and walked Draco over to his class, letting go of his hand. "Go on in. Tell your teacher who you are. I'll see you at lunch."

Pansy and Draco were curled up on the couch and Merlin was sitting across the room with Lavinia. He frowned as he wrote some answers down for his homework.

"Every time he comes over, he brings her." He told Lavinia. He stood and walked over. "Draco. I want to cuddle wit you."

Lavinia didn't understand why everyone had to be so dramatic all the time. She rolled her eyes as she lowered her book, looking at Merlin making a scene. If everyone just read more than things would work out just fine.

Draco looked up from where he and Pansy were talking. It wasn't his fault he always had to spend lots of time with her. Merlin was mean to her. "Well..." He looked at Pansy and then at Merlin. "Okay," he said, gesturing for Merlin to sit on the couch beside him. "I miss cuddling with you."

Lavinia looked up at Pyxis when she sat beside her, then glanced at Merlin slowly having a mental breakdown over Draco. "I'm Lavinia," she said. "My brother's Draco's best friend. You wanna be my friend?"

"Yes," Draco said, nodding. He was amazing so that made sense. "But I'm friends with Pansy too and she's here as well. So we all have to play together today." He smiled at Merlin. "Maybe tomorrow we can hang out just us. Mummy would let you come over whenever you want to."

Lavinia shrugged, glancing at Draco and Pansy. "I dunno why Merlin likes him," she said. "He just does. Maybe because Draco is kind of pretty so he wants to take care of him, you know? Boys are silly."

Draco didn't think that was nice at all, but he also didn't like Merlin crying. He looked down at Pansy and kissed her cheek. "I don't wish you were dead," he promised. "I'm going to go talk to him." He slipped out of Pansy's grasp and chased Merlin down, grabbing the other boy's hand. "Merlin, wait," he said, giving him a sad look. He leaned in and kissed his cheek, walking into the next room with him. "I love you."

"I do," Draco insisted, feeling guilty now. He moved a bit closer to Merlin, pouting at him and wrapping his arms around the other boy's waist. "Please don't be sad, Merlin. I promise I'll be a better friends to you now. I don't want you to be sad because of me."

He kissed Merlin's cheek again and reached up to wipe away his tears. "You wanna go and cuddle with just us?" Draco asked. "Maybe Mummy will let us have a sleepover."

Draco reached up to pet at Merlin's hair. He felt bad for leaving Pansy behind, but she could do girl stuff with Pyxis and Lavinia for a while or something. He and Merlin would be boys and bond together.

He kissed Merlin's cheek again. "It's okay. I'm not going to go anywhere," he promised, rubbing the other boy's back like his mother did when he was sad. "I'm going to take good care of you and be your best friend forever."
