June Riddle tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she did her Arithmancy homework in the back of the library. Merlin took up most people's attention so she didn't have to worry about people whispering about her father too much. She'd also never been kidnapped, which was really nice. The back of the library was still one of her favourite places to hide in.

She looked up, when she heard someone shuffling in the shelves by her, even if it was probably just some couple coming to the back of the library for a snog. "Hello?"

June took note of the Gryffindor tie too, looking up at the boy and wondering if he was being serious about what he was looking for. "It's fine. I was just finishing my Arithmancy work," she said, glancing at the books he'd shoved back on the shelf. Pince wasn't going to like that.

"I don't think she actually hides the books on sex. I think they're just in the restricted section." June quirked an eyebrow at him. "Is that really what you're looking for?"

	"The restricted section!" Regulus exclaimed and then fell into the chair in front of June. He glanced at her across the table, running his fingers through his hair as he looked very defeated. "Yes. June blinked at Regulus for a moment and then laughed. "So you're not really looking for books at all, are you?" she asked. "You're looking for porn. I think Hogsmede is the place to try and find that. Or one of the boys. Someone must have something."

She tilted her head slightly, tapping her quill against her Arithmancy textbook. "You know, there are novels with dirty bits in them in the library. They usually fall open to the right pages."

	"I'm not looking for porn. I'm looking for instructional manuals." Regulus informed the girl with a frown. "I'm not a pervert. I've just used all the techniques I know personally and was looking for some help with new ones." He shrugged carelessly. "Where are these books? You seem to know a lot about them." "I know a lot about the library," June corrected. "I spend a lot of time in here, working. And this is the spot where people come to snog, so the subject of sex comes up."

She shrugged and then smiled at Regulus. "Some of them are in the restricted section. There's a Muggle novel the female prefects like to read. All about this woman who has an affair. Muggles have really dirty minds, I think."

	"I never said I'd read it. Just that the female prefects liked it," June pointed out. "And, yes, I am a Riddle, which means I'm the least likely to get in trouble if I was caught with it. He'd be mad, certainly, but he'd calm down eventually." She looked Regulus over. "You're a Black, right? Regulus? Draco and Aunt Cissa are some sort of cousin to you?" "I suppose that depends who you ask," June said, shrugging. "My father would probably tell you I take after my mother in almost everything except looks. My mother would tell you I'm too much like my father."

She leaned back in her chair. "Why do I have to take after either of them? I hardly spend any time with them. You may not have noticed this, but I'm not a boy. My father's rather partial to the idea of his son following in his footsteps. My mother spends her time with wine."

Regulus frowned at that and shook his head. "My dad spends time with..." He cut himself off there. He knew better than to tell her that his father spent all his time with a half-blood werewolf named Remus Lupin. Who happened to kidnap her brother when they were younger. He shrugged.

"He spends all his time with his motorbike and telling me about all the wild things he did when he was a kid." He replied. "I suppose I don't have a bad gig."

"I spend time with my aunt and uncles. And Abraxas," June said, shrugging. "I have nothing to complain about. Not without sounding like some annoying rich girl who doesn't realise other people have actual problems. Oh no, I have to get married."

She shrugged. "We all have to get married eventually. If I've learned anything from my family it's that being married doesn't really matter all that much. Does your father really spend time with his motorbike, or does he spend time doing something you think I wouldn't approve of?"

	"No one ever approves of anything my father does. For starters, he enchanted a muggle motorbike to fly. Strike one." He pointed out and then shrugged a shoulder. "I don't think you should be down on marriage. Some people marry out of love." Regulus pulled out a pack of fags and lit one with his finger, between his lips. "The Weasleys marry for love." June laughed at that. "Maybe the Weasleys do. Maybe Gryffindors with dads who enchant Muggle objects do, but we talked about who my father was, right? He's shopping around for a husband for me. He thinks it should be someone from Europe. Keep the inbreeding at bay."

She watched him smoking for a moment. "Can I?" June asked, gesturing to the fag. She'd never smoked before, but even if she wasn't riding around on a motorbike she'd like to rebel a little. "I've never tried before."

A girl who smoked. How sweet. "Yeah, of course." He picked up the pack and held it out to her so she could take one, smiling. She was Tom Riddle's daughter and she was smoking his fags in the library.

"Husband shopping sounds awful." Regulus informed the other girl and shook his head. "You're not one of those lesbian girls who their dads have to find a husband for, are you?"

June took one of the fags, turning it around in her hand for a moment and then snapping her fingers to summon a flame. She lit the end of it and took a tentative puff, suppressing the urge to cough.

"I -- no," she said, laughing and waving the smoke away from her face before she tried another drag, only coughing a little. "I don't think he trusts me to make good choices. And by that I mean politically astute. Think of me like a medieval princess. I'm pretty sure that's what Dad does."

"If you're roleplaying that your girlfriends are princesses I'm not sure what more you expect to learn from books," June said, grinning back at Regulus. "Not the kind of books at Hogwarts, anyway. Most of them are probably at least fifty years old."

She took another careful drag from the cigarette, raising an eyebrow at him. "Do you want my father to flip? We've gone over who he is, right?" June looked Regulus over. "He'd hate it. You're a Gryffindor. Your dad has a Muggle motorbike."

"Are you saying people from fifty years ago couldn't have been kinky?" Regulus asked, then scoffed playfully and shook his head. "Those are the people who locked people in dungeons and tortured them. Talk about kink."

Regulus studied her for a moment and grinned. "I know who your father is. He can't murder me for simply dating his daughter and showing her a good time. Come one. Just one trip to Hogsmeade. I'm a gentleman."

One trip to Hogsmede. Her father would hate it if he heard about it. Merlin would tell on her if he knew. "Okay," she said. "One trip, but don't expect me to believe that you're a gentleman after the rest of our conversation about how you're looking for new sex tricks and what you and your girlfriends like to roleplay."

June laughed at Regulus. "I don't know," she said. "What happens if I demand satisfaction and you suffer from performance anxiety all of the sudden? If you're going to build a reputation you should be sure you can deliver on all your promises."

She smiled at him as she looked at her fag. "Every other sentence out of my mouth isn't normally about him. Just so you know."

June was going to put all the bragging about his sexual prowess down to Regulus being a Gryffindor. Unless he really was like that and she just hadn't heard about it before now. She's have to look into it. "Good to know," she said, smiling at him. "I wouldn't want you to feel intimidated."

She smiled at him. "I'm sure," she said. "Although really you should be hoping I have daddy issues. I hear those make girls put out more."
