Thoreau waited for Pansy in the common room, twirling the rose he'd picked her between his fingers. Rider kept looking at him funny from the other side of the common room and he was hoping Rider didn't feel guilty and tell Pyxis and fuck up his friendship with her or something equally stupid. He looked like he was tempted to. He had a glint in his eye that said desperate to Thoreau.

Rider felt on edge. He kept dreaming about cock, which was fucked up. More than fucked up. He looked down at Pyxis and gave her a small smile, doing his best not to look at either of the Lestranges. Even if Rex was in his chair again. "Should we go?" he asked her. "We want a good table at the pub."

Draco didn't approve of Pansy going on a date wit Thoreau Lestrange, who he hadn't really heard of before the memories Charlie had shown him. He stood with Merlin, watching Pansy primping in his mirror. "What do you even know about Lestrange?" he asked, trying not to sound as petulant as he felt. "You really want to spend the whole day with him?"

June ignored the rest of Slytherin, walking through the common room and out the door, on her way to meet Regulus for their date. Her dad wasn't going to be very happy if he found out about it, but that made it even better. June was tired of her life being controlled. Plus, Regulus could turn into a puppy and play fetch with her. What wasn't to like?

Thoreau hesitated for a moment, but if Pansy was going to ask him outright than lying seemed cruel. "Yes," he said. "It's part of the reason. I'm not completely gay. And I'm not like Draco. You don't have to fight for my attention. You're pretty. I like you. We liked kissing each other. It seems like a pretty good place for us to start, doesn't it?"

"Exactly," Rider said, looking down at Pyxis and leading her into the pub. Rex and his boyfriends had gotten detached from them at some point, but that was probably for the best. "There is no other girl for me. You know I'd hate having to be with someone else. You're the only person I get along with."

Draco blinked at the strange, tattooed boy in front of him, feeling a bit frustrated. At some point this was going to stop happening, right? People would stop randomly kissing him and making everything more complicated? He sighed, looking the other boy over. "You're going to have to explain who you are," he said. "Someone must not have told you about my memory loss."

"He's not mental. He's just... our father's son," June said, shrugging. "Maybe he's a bit mental. We both know some pretty nasty spells, but he disappears for private tutorials all the time. Dad wants him to take over eventually, I guess."

Pansy looked back at Thoreau and nodded. "Seems as good as any." She told him with a shrug, looking down at the tea when it arrived. They knew her order here. "So what do you want out of me?"

"Which is odd. I'm one of the most difficult people to get along with." Pyxis stuck her tongue out at him, then slid in the booth. She noticed Luka. "Can I invite him over too?"

"We've not really talked much. I'm Rabastan Lestrange's kid." Rex smiled at him and held out a hand. "I'm Rex. It's nice to meet you, Draco."

"Take over what?" Regulus asked as he looked back at her, arching a brow. "Hogwarts? But, your brother is such a twat all the time. I can't imagine him being headmaster."

"What do you mean?" Thoreau asked, adding milk to his cup of tea. "I want to date you. I thought I'd made that clear. You... if you'd rather be with someone who doesn't also like men then I understand, but I wouldn't cheat on you while we were together if you agreed to be my girlfriend. Not by choice. You'd be doing me a big favour."

Rider didn't want to say yes, but they were getting along now. Saying no would make Pyxis angry with him. He looked at Luka and sighed. "All right," he agreed. "You can invite him to join us. Get some beers and chips while you're up."

Rex. There were so many new people here. At least this one wasn't supposed to be his best friend or his boyfriend. Draco shook Rex's hand. "It's nice to meet you too. Do you usually kiss people like that?"

"Well, I mean, Hogwarts, yeah, but everything else my Dad does too. Whenever he decides he wants to retire. And Draco will probably take over for Abraxas." June shrugged. "It's not like my father's going to let anyone else be in charge of anything. They're his favourites."

"Not by choice?" Pansy asked as she looked back at Thoreau. She lifted her cup of tea to her lips and then shook her head. "You liking boys doesn't bother me. I like boys as well." She hesitated. "I'm a virgin." She told him. "Does that bother you?"

Pyxis leaned in and kissed Rider deeply, then pulled back and walked to the counter. She leaned against it. "Do you want to come sit with us?" She asked, then turned and ordered the food.

"All the time. It's the only way I get what I want." Rex pointed out with a grin and looked Draco over. "You're a fag, right? Do you want to hang out with me? My dates ditched me for Quidditch."

Regulus refrained from saying anything horrible about her father, even if he did side with his father's on the fact that the man was mental. And needed to be overthrown. "Well. What is it that you want to do with your life?"

"Bellatrix sometimes thinks the gay can be fucked out of me," Thoreau said, shrugging. "Or she just gets annoyed. It doesn't really count." He looked at her for a moment and then shook his head. "I don't mind," he said. "Do you mind that I'm not one?"

Luka looked down at Pyxis, smiling a little. "Your boyfriend knows you are inviting me, yes?" he asked, laughing a little. "Normally he does not like vhen ve spend time together. I vould like to join you."

Everyone knowing about his sexuality was going to take some getting used to. Normally he wouldn't want to spend time with... Rex, but Merlin had left him on his own and Pansy was on a date. "Yeah, all right," he agreed. "You had more than one date? By choice?"

June hesitated for a moment. It wasn't really up to her, so it wasn't something she spent a lot of time thinking about. She shrugged. "I'm quite good at charms," she said. "I'd like to do something with that. Realistically? I'm hoping I don't end up married to some pure-blood ally of my father's in Argentina."

"No. I don't mind." Pansy admitted after a moment, shaking her head. "Honestly, I wish that I wasn't one. I wish I could get it out of the way so I could stop worrying about it all the time."

"I convinced him it was okay for you to spend time with us." Pyxis told him as she grabbed the two beers and shrugged. "Just... don't look at my tits. Okay?"

"Yes. By choice." Rex nodded and began to lead Draco into Honeydukes, where he'd been going. "We can meet up with them later and you can have one of them. Radley is nicer than Rooney."

Regulus looked at her for a moment, then shrugged. "My family are the greatest allies he has other than the Malfoys. I could have my father bid on your betrothal if you want. If you don't love me when we're married, you can always be with someone else."

"I can help you with it, if you want," Thoreau told her. "But you might want to wait. I know girls would sometimes rather be with someone they're in love with. Or until they're married."

Luka laughed, glancing down at Pyxis's chest briefly. "I'll do my best," he said. "Is not my fault. I keep thinking about how good they tasted. I vant to have them in my mouth again. But I vill behave in front of your boyfriend."

Draco followed Rex into Honeyduke's. "I don't know why you'd do that to yourself on purpose. I have two people to deal with right now and it's exhausting. Especially since I don't remember either of them. They keep looking at me like I've kicked their puppy."

June blinked at Regulus and then laughed, looking down at her hands. "If talking about babies on a first date is how you weed out crazies, what do you do about a marriage proposal?" she asked. "Let's wait and make sure we like each other and all that first, all right?"

"Is it really that special?" Pansy asked as she looked back at Thoreau. She sighed a bit and shrugged. "I'm not sure falling in love is in my future. If I'm honest. All the boys I've fancied are gay or don't feel the same."

"They're not going to be in your mouth again." Pyxis pointed out as she looked back at Luka. Even if the idea was slightly intriguing. She tugged on his dreadlock playfully and then moved towards Rider, sliding in beside him. "I got you two beers."

"It's not that difficult. They like to be with one boy." Rex told him with a shrug, looking him over. "Do you want one of them today?" He grinned. "Which boy do you like the most?"

Regulus shrugged. "Just trying to help. I think we'd be good friends, even if you don't love me. Besides, you'd have amazing in-laws."

"I'm not a girl," Thoreau pointed out, shrugging. "My first time... wasn't." He took a sip of his tea as he looked Pansy over. "You're beautiful, Pansy. I think most boys are... somewhat intimidated by how close you are to the Malfoys and by your ability to argue with Merlin Riddle and come out the other side in one piece."

"Good," Rider said, wrapping an arm around Pyxis and picking up one of the beers and she sat next to him. He kept his eyes on Draganov, still suspicious. "Take a seat." He nodded to the chair in front of them. "You're on the Quidditch team now?"

Luka took a seat and shrugged. "Vas easy to get on," he said. "Team here is much worse than my team at Durmstrang. I vould keep them in much better shape if I vas in charge of them. They are not very good, but ve vill vin next game."

"I don't know. I don't even really know them," Draco said, picking up a couple boxes of chocolates in the shop, one for himself and one for Pansy. He wondered what Merlin and Charlie usually ate. "The memory thing. And I've only really seen proof about my feelings from one of them so far."

"Your dad and his boyfriend and your mum?" June said, laughing a little. "You'd have terrible in-laws. If you're not after some political something I'm not sure why you'd do that to yourself."

"Merlin Riddle is the least of my worries." Pansy replied as she looked back at Thoreau, then let out a soft sigh. "What boys are available to me? Because I'm not aware of any."

"You're very confident in that." Pyxis told him with a grin, looking him over. "I know that you're having a good time on it and that you're a good player. But, don't get so cocky."

"That must suck." Rex looked at the blonde and at the chocolates. "Sometimes, with the things I know and have seen personally, I think it would be better to lose my memories."

Regulus laughed at that. "I'm not interested in politics, but I'm sure I'll have to get some sort of nice job. You know? If I married you it'd have to be something important."

"There are houses outside Slytherin," Thoreau pointed out. "I know they're not talked about often, but there's Ravenclaw. Even Gryffindor, if they're from a good enough family. Theodore Nott has always had an eye on you. My cousin Regulus is... Well, he's unconventional but he's an option."

"This is not cocky," Luka said, shaking his head dismissively. "This is knowing my skill. Durmstrang ve play far harder than you plan here. Vhen you talk to Radley and Rooney then you see. It vill be real game vhen Slytherin plays Gryffindor."

Draco glanced at Rex, but he'd met Rabastan Lestrange, before, in the old world, and he knew what his aunt and uncle were like. "The memories I've lost are all the ones that were more inconvenient to lose. I've got... let's see... getting dragon pox when I was little. Getting kidnapped. First kisses. Sorting. I have no idea if I have an essay or project due in any of my classes."

June snorted. "It would," she agreed. "Special adviser to the vice-Minister with a Wizengamot position attached or something. I don't know. I hate it all so much. Sometimes I just want to scream or join my mum drinking everything the Rosier vineyard produces."

"Ravenclaw is fine. But, if I were to date a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff, I'd be completely disowned." She sighed. "I know Regulus. That is a huge no. Besides, there's a rumour about him and June Riddle."

"I think that it's cocky to say you're going to win because you went to a school where rape and torture are just part of the curriculum." Pyxis informed him with a frown. "You can't go around thinking you're better than someone else because you're from a school like that. You are not as amazing as you think you are. Trust me. I've spent time with you. And I'm not going to sit around and let you say bad things about the team that I play for."

"You should ask your professors." Rex pointed out with a snort, shaking his head. "Not that they'd fail you regardless. It's well known that Tom Riddle thinks more of you than he does his own son. He calls you the Chosen One. Everyone knows that. It's why everyone is afraid of you."

"I will get drunk with you. In the vineyards." Regulus told her with a laugh, wrapping an arm around her. "I have it on high authority that I'm a fabulous dancer, and ninja, when I have a few drinks in me."

"Really?" Thoreau raised an eyebrow at that. "I can't decide if that means Regulus has a death wish or not. Aunt Narcissa spends a lot of time with his father." Aunt Narcissa spent a lot of time with a lot of men, but Pansy probably didn't want to hear him say catty things about her. Even Bellatrix liked Narcissa. What were the chances Pansy didn't? "We'll stick to Slytherins and Ravenclaws. We can always date until you find someone better. You can break my heart later."

Luka frowned back at Pyxis. "You do not understand," he told her. "This is not vhy I say it. Because of rape. This is not vhat makes us good. Ve are good because ve play at professional level. I played for Bulgaria national team. You are at school level still."

The Chosen One? Draco gave Rex a slightly skeptical look. "People aren't afraid of me," he said, picking up a box of mixed chocolates to give to Merlin to try and avoid more sulking. "Calling me the Chosen One sounds ridiculous. Are you buying anything?"

"Ninja?" June repeated, grinning at Regulus when he wrapped an arm around her. "Now I just want to get you drunk to see how fabulous your ninja-skills are."

Pansy arched a brow and looked back at him. "You hadn't heard about that?" She asked and then shrugged. "I don't want to break your heart. I like you."

"Whatever." Pyxis waved a dismissive hand and rolled her eyes. "Let's talk about something other than Quidditch so I don't hate you later."

"People are afraid of you." Rex pointed out and shook his head. "If people weren't afraid of you, then why is that boy over there looking at you in terror?"

"You want to get me drunk? Alright." Regulus beamed at her, pulling her a little closer. "I won't disagree with that. At all. As long as you don't take advantage of me."

"No, I hadn't. I guess I've fallen behind on gossip. I've been spending my time with Rex." Thoreau looked Pansy over when she said she liked him, then smiled at her. "I like you too, Pansy. You're a sweet girl."

"Something interesting," Rider said, finishing off his first beer and looking between them. He liked that they were arguing though. That was a good sign for him. He pulled Pyxis a little bit closer. "You know I don't understand the appeal of Quidditch."

Draco looked at the boy Rex was pointing to. He did look terrified, but Draco shrugged as he brought his chocolates to the front counter to pay for them. "I assume it's because he's a Hufflepuff. Isn't that their natural state?"

June laughed. "I promise to be an absolute gentleman," she said, touching his hair and winding a bit of it around one of her fingers. "I'll keep my hands above the waist at all times."

Pansy smiled back. She liked that a boy had actually taken interest in her. She leaned forward and gave Thoreau a soft kiss on the lips, looking him over carefully. "Thank you."

"I know that you don't. We could talk about music, but Luka doesn't know much about that either." Pyxis pointed out and then glanced at Luka. "What sort of things are you into that aren't Quidditch?"

Rex laughed at that and shook his head. "I'm really starting to miss my old school. Beauxbatons is so much better than this school."

"Gentleman? Uh oh." Regulus laughed and then shrugged. "I suppose that makes me a homosexual for the evening. That explains why you're wearing pants."

Thoreau reached up and touched Pansy's cheek, kissing her again and then letting her pull away. "You're welcome," he said, smiling at her. "Have you decided what I'm going to buy you after we're done our cake?"

Luka blinked at Pyxis for a moment. Things that weren't Quidditch? He liked sex and tits and being around Pyxis, but Rider was right there and Pyxis had told him to behave himself. "I like Quidditch," he said, shrugging.

Rider snorted, looking at Pyxis and raising an eyebrow. "If he's made up his mind about what he likes, who are we to question it?" he asked.

"Why?" Draco asked, paying for his chocolate and then taking the bag they offered. He led Rex out of the shop. "Because it's warmer? At least the uniforms at Hogwarts aren't as... flouncy."

"I like pants," June said, looking down at her pants. "Trousers make everything much more convenient. For example, I think it would be difficult to be a ninja in a skirt. You've have to worry about flashing people and sitting like a lady."

"I think I'd love a present more if you decided what you wanted to get me." Pansy informed Thoreau as she looked back at him, taking his hand. "What do you want to buy me?"

"That's all you like?" Pyxis asked, feeling a bit confused about how someone could only care about one thing. She arched a brow at him for a moment, then shook her head. "Sure there must be something else you like."

"No. That's not why I miss it." Rex shook his head and looked back at Draco with a grin. "It was just... not under Tom Riddle's rule, is all. I was capable of being my own person."

"You are wrong there. Flashing people is the greatest distraction." Regulus informed her. "Imagine if you will, a man in a skirt who flashes you cock before he kicks you in the face."
