Thoreau waited for Pansy in the common room, twirling the rose he'd picked her between his fingers. Rider kept looking at him funny from the other side of the common room and he was hoping Rider didn't feel guilty and tell Pyxis and fuck up his friendship with her or something equally stupid. He looked like he was tempted to. He had a glint in his eye that said desperate to Thoreau.

Rider felt on edge. He kept dreaming about cock, which was fucked up. More than fucked up. He looked down at Pyxis and gave her a small smile, doing his best not to look at either of the Lestranges. Even if Rex was in his chair again. "Should we go?" he asked her. "We want a good table at the pub."

Draco didn't approve of Pansy going on a date wit Thoreau Lestrange, who he hadn't really heard of before the memories Charlie had shown him. He stood with Merlin, watching Pansy primping in his mirror. "What do you even know about Lestrange?" he asked, trying not to sound as petulant as he felt. "You really want to spend the whole day with him?"

June ignored the rest of Slytherin, walking through the common room and out the door, on her way to meet Regulus for their date. Her dad wasn't going to be very happy if he found out about it, but that made it even better. June was tired of her life being controlled. Plus, Regulus could turn into a puppy and play fetch with her. What wasn't to like?

Pansy laughed a bit. "You're embarrassing me. Be quiet." She touched her hair and pushed it out of her face. "I don't think anything about me could be sexy."

"Whatever, Rider. Fuck off and forget it." Pyxis told him as she looked down at her food. "But, if I even see you look at that new kid again, it's over. Since you seem to have no trust for me. You get no trust either."

Rex arched a brow at that. "Why would you want to date her if you're a fag? Besides, Thoreau isn't completely gay. He's been with women as well."

Regulus looked back at June and cleared his throat. "I mean... yeah. You could listen if you wanted. But, you'd have to come to my dorms."

Thoreau laughed too, shaking his head. "Of course it could," he told her. "There are a lot of things about you that are sexy, trust me. Besides the sound you make when you eat cheesecake. Your eyes, your lips, your legs, your laugh, the way you touch your hair. The shy smile you have."

Rider frowned at Pyxis. "I was willing to trust you and then you told me you wanted to fuck him. Are you going to tell me I should be grateful you're not just doing it behind my back anyway next? Come on, Pyxis. It's fucking ridiculous that you think me getting upset over you asking to fuck him is me over-reacting to something."

"Because I'm going to have to marry someone eventually. I'd rather it was Pansy than any of the other options," Draco said, shrugging. "She's my best friend. If I marry some other girl I'll just be annoyed with them all the time."

"That's fine, isn't it?" June asked. "I've never been to Gryffindor before, but I know where it is. Unless you're worried someone's going to tell on us or something."

Pyxis stared at Thoreau for a moment, then let out a small laugh. "You're flattering me." She told him, then moved a bit closer so that she was sitting beside him. She kissed him softly, then pressed one to his ear.

"I've already fucked him!" Pyxis blurted out before she could stop herself. "I was practicing imperius. He had me under it and I fucked him. Okay?" She looked at Rider as she started to cry, then stood and ran from the pub.

Rex arched a brow at that. "You don't have to marry a girl. What are you talking about?" He asked, tilting his head. "I've heard my father talking about how Tom Riddle plans to make you marry Merlin. You didn't know?"

"Well. You coming into Gryffindor is going to get some voices going." Regulus pointed out. "I just want to make sure you're prepared for what will happen if you do."

"Of course I am," Thoreau said. "I like you. It's what boys do when they like a girl." He smiled when Pansy moved closer to him, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He turned his head and kissed her again, tilting her chin up a little. "You are so beautiful."

Rider stared after Pyxis for a moment, then looked at Draganov by the bar. He walked over to him, slugging him in the jaw as hard as he could, and then chased after Pyxis before Luka could retaliate, catching up with her in the street. "What the fuck do you mean, he had you under Imperius? He raped you?"

Draco stared at Rex for a moment. "He -- what?" He frowned. Nobody had mentioned that plan to him. "No, I didn't. Either I forgot or no one ever told me. That... You must be misunderstanding something." He wasn't someone's daughter. They couldn't just... marry him off to Merlin Riddle. "Are you sure you heard right?"

Regulus was right. People were definitely going to talk about it and she might get in trouble for it, but June shrugged. "I think I can handle it," she said. "Are you going to be okay with it? I mean... I don't think I have to worry about your father, but you might have to worry about mine. If he pays any attention to it."

Pansy blushed a bit, then kissed him again, pressing close to his side. She liked having someone to pay attention to her. "You are too kind." She whispered, then bit his bottom lip playfully, like she'd read in her romance novels.

"No. You know how I work, Rider." Pyxis looked up at him, pulling away from him. "He made me touch myself until I couldn't take it anymore and by the time the curse was dropped, I was trying to fuck him. It hasn't happened again, but I'm such a horrible person. Because I love you so much. But, how could I do that to you?"

"Yes. I thought you'd at least know that. No one has ever told you?" Rex chewed at his bottom lip. "This is what I'm talking about when I talk about being your own person. It's impossible here."

"I don't have a problem with it. I was just looking out for you." Regulus pointed out. "I don't exactly have the best reputation."

Thoreau liked biting. He smiled when Pansy bit at his lip and touched her thigh. "I'm supposed to be treating you like a princess and feeding you cake," he said, laughing and kissing her again. He picked up his fork, scooping up some of the cake and offering it to Pansy. "Here."

Rider stared at Pyxis for a moment. He felt like killing something. Luka. The punch hadn't been enough. But he could feel a stupid ache in his stupid chest and he wanted Pyxis to hurt too. "I fucked him," he said. "Rex. You might as well know, since you fucked someone else too. He's been trying to seduce me since he got here."

Apparently it was, but Draco had spent the last summer in Romania and had made plans to go again this summer. Maybe he had known that he was going to be married off to Merlin. Maybe he'd ask Pansy or his mother. "I'm beginning to see your point," he said, after a moment. "Maybe they told me before, but they haven't mentioned it since I lost my memory."

June shrugged. "I think I can handle it," she told him. "I want to listen to your music and I don't really care about gossip. I'll know what the truth is. I mean, everyone's already seen us on a date together. They'll be making up rumours anyway."

Pansy did like to be treated like a princess. Thoreau was so sweet. She took the bite of the cheesecake, humming softly around it. "That's so good." She laughed and covered her mouth, looking at him apologetically.

Pyxis felt that. It hurt. It hurt a lot. She looked back at Rider for a moment, tears filling her eyes, then leaned in and kissed him deeply for a long moment before she pulled back. "Goodbye, Rider." She told him, then ran off.

"You should probably check around." Rex pointed out and gave Draco a sad look. "I don't think anyone should have to marry someone that their parents choose."

Regulus glanced around at some of the people who were staring. He frowned, then moved around the table to sit beside her. He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. "I don't like how they're looking like you're going to eat me."

Thoreau shook his head, pulling Pansy's hand away from her mouth and kissing her again. "I like the sounds you make eating cheesecake," he told her. "Don't cover them up. They're adorable. And they make me want to find other ways to make you make them."

Rider growled to himself. He wanted to find Draganov and beat him up, but he settled for punching the wall of the nearest building. Pyxis was supposed to be his.

Luka wasn't sure why Macnair had punched him, but he'd left the pub rubbing his jaw and looking to get his own back when he saw Pyxis run past, looking upset. He followed her instead of looking for Macnair, grabbing her arm. "Vhat is wrong?" he asked. "You are upset."

Draco looked Rex over for a moment. "You know, you're not at all what I was expecting," he said. "You're surprisingly sane. It's refreshing. Let's go to the pub. I need a drink."

June glanced around too and then smiled at Regulus when he kissed her. "Maybe I am," she said. "You'll get used to it. I have. That's just how people look at me. It could be worse. You should see how they look at Merlin."

Pansy blushed hotly when Thoreau said that. It was so... dirty. She took his hand and rested it on her thigh. "I'm sure there are ways." She looked up at him innocently.

Pyxis looked up at Luka and shook her head. "He slept with that new kid. A boy." She told him, wiping at her eyes. "And I told him about us. And now he hates me. He's all I have, Luka."

"Do most of the people you meet come off as insane?" Rex asked with a snort, following along with Draco. "I'd hate to have your life, if that's the case."

"I've seen how they look at Merlin. I'm one of them looking at him like that." Regulus teased and popped a chip into his mouth. "No shame in admitting that."

Thoreau grinned at the innocent look on Pansy's face, brushing their lips together again. "I know there are," he said, picking up some more cheesecake to feed her. "But I think we should wait before I introduce you to them, don't you?"

Luka looked at Pyxis for a moment. He wasn't great with feelings or tears or anything and he felt a bit awkward standing there, but he liked Pyxis. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her against his chest. "I vill be your friend," he told her. "Ve do not even have to fuck. Vill be okay."

"So far, yes," Draco said, shrugging. "Since most of the people I've met after forgetting them are people like Merlin." And Rex was a Lestrange. Things could be assumed from the name. He pushed open the door to The Three Broomsticks. "I need to learn to stop asking questions I don't really want the answers to."

June laughed, picked up a chip of her own and shaking her head. "My poor brother. See? At least they don't look at me like they look at him." She took a sip of her butterbeer, looking up as the door opened and Draco walked in with Rex Lestrange. "Now we really don't have to worry about the way they look at me. They'll all be looking at the chosen one instead. My father is so melodramatic."

Pansy looked back at Thoreau for a moment, then nodded. "If that's what you want to do." She told him, trying not to sound too upset about it. It was their first date. She just wanted... experiences.

Pyxis pressed close to Luka's chest, hugging him and holding him. Every part of her body felt like it hurt. "I should hate you. And I don't."

"I suppose that's true. But, if we don't ask questions, we'll never know anything." Rex pointed out, looking at Draco. He slid into the booth and smiled. "You can't just stop asking questions."

"You're talking about your father again. Like.. all day." Regulus pointed out with a snort. "You should tell me more about yourself."

Thoreau looked Pansy over for a moment, then laughed softly. "I'm trying to respect you," he told her. "We don't have to wait if you don't want to wait. I just think you're special. I don't want to push you into anything you're not ready for."

"Vhy should you hate me?" Luka asked, looking down at Pyxis and touching her hair. He wasn't the one who'd fucked a boy behind her back. "I am real man, you know. Real men don't cheat on pretty girls like you."

"And if I hadn't asked them then I'd be blissfully unaware that I'm supposed to marry Merlin," Draco pointed out. "I think it would be worth any lost knowledge." He ordered himself a whiskey when a nervous looking waitress came over. "I'm never going to get used to this place."

"Well, it's hard to get away from his influence when he runs our school," June pointed out, eating another chip. "i... like charms and reading and I kind of wish I'd been a Ravenclaw. I like blue. I think red's pretty nice too. Green is not my favourite colour."

"No no. It's fine." Pansy assured him and smiled, leaning in to kiss his cheek softly. She turned back to the cheesecake and took a large bite. "I just enjoy spending time with you."

"Because. You managed to make me want to fuck you." Pyxis sighed softly and rested her forehead on his chest. "I don't want to talk about being your girlfriend right now."

Rex looked up at the waitress and frowned at her. "Is there a reason you're looking at my friend like that? Get us fish and chips and two beers and fuck off." He told her, then looked at Draco. "You'll get used to it. You've lived here all your life."

Regulus laughed at that and shrugged. "I'll let you borrow one of my ties." He told her. "Then everyone will know you're my girlfriend." He paused. "Unless you don't want to be my girlfriend."

"I like spending time with you too," Thoreau said, eating some of the cheesecake himself. "You're gorgeous, Pansy. How could I not?" He smiled at her. "If it helps, I'm fighting against my baser instincts so I can be a gentleman for you."

Luka nodded, picking Pyxis up and wrapping her legs around his waist. "Maybe you vill get back with Rider after this," he said. "Vhen you are both more calm. I know vhy he punched me now, at least."

Draco gave Rex an impressed look when the waitress ran off from the table. "I suppose that's true. You're pretty good with everyone here, for someone who hasn't been around very long." He glanced around the pub, frowning as people looked away from them as soon as his eyes moved in their direction. "It's going to take a lot of getting used to."

"Of course I do," June said, smiling at Regulus. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't. I'd love to borrow one of your ties." As long as no one in her family noticed, it'd be fine. "You want to borrow one of mine? You'd look nice in green."
