Pyxis wasn't sure if Rider or Walden had gotten word about what had been happening. But, after three intense discussions with Snape over the last two days, he'd decided it was time to let her go. Go. In the letter that had been delivered to her that morning, it had explained that she would still be living near the facility, in a flat paid for by her own family, but that it was somewhat of an assisted living. Where nurses would come visit her often.

And to top it all off, Rider was going to be living with her. On a monitored basis with a cuff around his ankle. She stared at the letter for a long time, before she'd even decided to go to Rider. They had to take baby classes together and everything.

She stood at his door, terrified, wondering what Walden was going to think. And then knocked on Rider's door.

"I'm sure there was nothing selfish about it." Pyxis teased as she walked down the stairs. And then she stopped when she got to the front doors.

All she could do was stare at them. It was okay for her to walk outside. And she couldn't figure out how to do it. If she was even ready. She stood there, eyes wide.
