Charlotte usually went wherever Elodie did. Her cousin was older than her, and spent a lot of time at their house, so it made sense. Plus, Elodie was older and even if she liked weird things and was a bit violent, Charlotte still liked her. She was cool. Today, she was over at Xavier's house playing with her stuffed unicorn while Elodie and Xavier played with their dolls.

Charlotte glanced at the other boy in the room, who she'd met a couple times but was too shy to talk to, and watched him chew on his sheep for a bit before she crawled over to him. "Hi," she said, sitting next to him. "I have a unicorn."

	Bruno made a soft noise when Scorpius kissed him so softly. No one had kissed him like that. Ever. He looked back down at him and touched his cheek softly, brushing them against his skin. Scorpius smiled when Bruno kissed down his neck. "Yeah," he agreed. "It does." He slid a hand through Bruno's hair, then shifted, straddling Bruno's lap and kneeling up a bit so they were closer to the same height.

"Now we're even. You're too tall." Scorpius brushed their lips together again and then pulled his own shirt off. He was getting over Albus. This would have to do the trick. He kissed Bruno again, cupping his face in his hands.

	Bruno made a soft sound against Scorpius's mouth, then kissed him back. He liked the way Scorpius felt. He was so sweet and soft and the way he was sitting on his erection felt really good. Scorpius smiled against Bruno's mouth, laughing a little. "Is soft good?" he asked. He moved against Bruno's erection a little, because he could and because it felt good to be wanted. Even if Bruno didn't fancy him, at least he found Scorpius desirable enough to get hard for him. That was something, after being blindsided by Albus getting a boyfriend.

He nipped at Bruno's bottom lip gently and rubbed against him again. "I'm definitely not soft everywhere."

	Bruno wanted to start slow. He didn't want Scorpius to freak out on him. He leaned in and kissed him again, then undid Scorpius's trousers, pulling him out of them slowly. Scorpius moaned when Bruno started to stroke him, head falling forward onto his shoulder. "You... God. You're hotter. That feels amazing." This wasn't as good as getting the boy he had feelings for, but it was a really nice consolation prize. Scorpius arched into Bruno's touch and kissed him again.

Charlotte was trying to make up for all the time she and Bruno had spent apart. It felt kind of like they'd never been away from each other after the week they'd had. They hadn't made any plans for today, but she figured it would be okay if she stopped by. She opened the door to Bruno's room, smiling, and then stopped and stared at... at Bruno and Scorpius doing... things. Charlotte let out a surprised squeak.

	Bruno had barely noticed his door open. He was too focused on getting Scorpius off. But, he did hear her squeak. He turned quickly to look at her and then groaned in disappointment. He rolled Scorpius to the side so she couldn't see him, then told him to wait. He walked up to Charlotte and led her out of his room. "You've got to text or something." Charlotte looked up at Bruno. He was her best friend. She could sleep with his stuffed toy and wear his shirts to bed all she wanted, but to Bruno she was just a friend. "I haven't changed," she said quietly, looking down at her hands. "Maybe I look a little different, but I haven't..." She shook her head. "You're right. I'm sorry. I'm being stupid. I'll text before I come over from now on. I should let you... go back."

Bruno grumbled and looked back at her. "I haven't... I haven't changed that much." He told her. "But... I was so.. My entire life was you, Charlotte. Everything. You were my everything and you still kind of are."

He looked her over. "You broke my heart when you left. I didn't do anything for months after you were gone. I just moped around. My friends had to force me to get drunk and go out. That's the only reason I stopped thinking about you obsessively. And even then, and even now, you're still all I think about."

"I didn't want to leave," Charlotte reminded Bruno, looking up at him and frowning a little. "You were my life too. I hated being apart from you. I slept with Persephone every night after you sent her to me, but I didn't -- didn't start sleeping with people."

She felt like Bruno was telling her the way he'd changed was her fault. Bruno was just... confusing. Everything he was saying. Charlotte couldn't tell if he liked her or not anymore. She just wanted to go back when things made sense. "I just miss the way everything was before. I miss you."

This was so complicated. Bruno didn't know what he could say or do to make her stop looking at him like that. He grabbed her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to his chest. Squishing her against him.

"I love you." Bruno whispered against her neck, then felt himself start to cry. He'd missed her too. But, he didn't know if things could go back to the way they were before.

Charlotte pressed her face against Bruno's shoulder, holding on to him tightly and starting to cry too. She hated this even worse than being away from him. "I love you too," she said quietly. "I'm sorry."

She closed her eye, turning her head into Bruno's neck. "I just need to get used to the way things are now," Charlotte promised. "Once I do, things will be good again. We'll be good again."

Charlotte had been home for a few weeks and Bruno was still trying to work out how to spend all his time with Charlotte and still see other girls. It wasn't working out so well. Usually, by the time he was snogging someone, Charlotte was calling him.

He hadn't had sex in two weeks and it was grating at him. He glanced at his phone and sighed, packing up. He drove to his house and stepped into his room. "You rang?"
