Charlotte's father hadn't been able to hide his glee when Charlotte and Jaden had broken up before she'd returned to France for her final year of schooling. He didn't think Jaden was an appropriate choice for her. Charlotte spent a lot of time around Jaden when he didn't have his shirt on, so she disagreed. The only thing she didn't like about it was that tension between Jaden and Bruno was always heightened because Bruno had decided he was her big brother or something stupid.

When she'd gotten back from France, she and Jaden had flirted a bit again, but Charlotte wasn't going to date anybody until she was sure she was sticking around. And now she was. She was starting at King's College, London, at the end of the week, after spending what felt like forever on the waitlist, thinking she might end up in Edinburgh. Charlotte texted Bruno to meet her over something urgent and sat in a coffee shop with a drink ordered for the both of them, waiting to tell him the good news.

Charlotte squeaked a bit when Bruno lifted her up, but Jaden sort of had a thing for carrying her around too. She grinned up at Bruno when he put her down, picking up her own coffee. "I'd love to see it," she said. "Cepheus has good taste."

She leaned against Bruno's arm and then kissed it. "My dad's happy I'm staying here too. He was getting all weepy over me going to live in Scotland on my own. I think he trusts you to defend my honour. He'll be okay with us being roommates."

	Charlotte rolled her eyes as she got on the bus and took a seat. "You wouldn't shag me," she said. "Not unless I wanted it, and you know I want to wait until I'm married. I trust you." "I don't know why you want to wait until you're married. If you do that, then you run the risk of marrying a bad shag." Bruno shook his head, looking her over. "I mean, I know I'm in therapy or whatever. For my sex addiction, but you should be more realistic about it. I think you should wait until you're in love or with someone you trust."

He paused. "And I would shag you. The only thing that's kept me from trying is that you're my best mate." He glanced down at his watch and then up. "I've already furnished the flat with what money I didn't spend on uni."

Charlotte didn't like thinking too much about Bruno's sex addiction, but she nodded, glancing down at her hands. "If I found someone I was in love with who I trusted, I probably would have sex with him. It's just easier to say that I'm waiting for marriage. People understand that you're serious about waiting if you say that. And I mean it when I say I trust you. Maybe you would shag me, but I know you won't because we're best friends and you know how I feel about sex. And that I want you to make progress on your addiction."

She laced their fingers together, squeezing his hand gently. "Is there still room for me to move in?" Charlotte asked, looking at him and smiling.

"There's a bed there for you already." Bruno assured her and grinned. He looked at their hands for a moment and shrugged. "If you have someone over or something, you have your own little room. But, I assume that you'll be sharing my bed most of the time. So the other one is just a single."

He brushed his thumb against hers, then stood when the bus stopped at their stopped. He stepped off, waiting for her, then motioned towards the really small house near the water. "This is it."

	The house was tiny, but it was cute. Charlotte smiled at it. "I like it," she said, then tugged on his arm. "Show me the inside. I doubt I'll ever have someone over. I'm a prude." Charlotte smiled as she took the key. "You didn't even know that I was staying until just now," she pointed out. She leaned up and kissed Bruno's cheek, then unlocked the door and stepped inside.

The house was adorable. Charlotte didn't know how Bruno could ever think she wouldn't like it. Everything about it was just... perfect. "I love it," she said, turning to look at him, smiling widely. "Bruno, this is... it's perfect. It's beautiful." She laughed, bouncing over and hugging him tightly. "Bedrooms?"

"I had a pretty good idea that you'd stay even if I hadn't invited you." Bruno pointed out with a laugh, then kissed her forehead.

He hugged her back when she hugged him and snorted. "Don't be so quick to get into my room or I'll get the wrong impression." He told her, then led her to the kitchen. "I know how to cook now. So this is good." He pointed down the hallway. "Down there."

Charlotte loved every inch of the little house so far. The kitchen was perfect. "I like this place a lot," she told him. "It's so nice. Maybe Cepheus should be a real estate agent."

She pulled away from him, walking down the hall and opening the doors there. She smiled, looking around the bigger bedroom. "I'm definitely going to camp out with you in here. It's gorgeous, Bruno."

	Bruno laughed and nodded. "I thought you'd like the bedroom, but I wasn't sure. Watch this. This is Cepheus's present for me. Belated birthday present, he said." Charlotte stared at the television for a moment, then laughed and crawled onto the bed. "Cepheus is the best," she said, grinning at the screen. She looked at Bruno, patting the spot on the bed beside her. "Come here. We can watch some of our movie."

She leaned back against the pillows, surveying the room again. "I really like it here," Charlotte said. "We're going to be really happy, aren't we?"

	"As long as I can make you really happy. Yeah." Bruno nodded as he pulled her close to his chest. He kissed her forehead and then pulled the blankets up over the both of them.
