Charlotte's father hadn't been able to hide his glee when Charlotte and Jaden had broken up before she'd returned to France for her final year of schooling. He didn't think Jaden was an appropriate choice for her. Charlotte spent a lot of time around Jaden when he didn't have his shirt on, so she disagreed. The only thing she didn't like about it was that tension between Jaden and Bruno was always heightened because Bruno had decided he was her big brother or something stupid.

When she'd gotten back from France, she and Jaden had flirted a bit again, but Charlotte wasn't going to date anybody until she was sure she was sticking around. And now she was. She was starting at King's College, London, at the end of the week, after spending what felt like forever on the waitlist, thinking she might end up in Edinburgh. Charlotte texted Bruno to meet her over something urgent and sat in a coffee shop with a drink ordered for the both of them, waiting to tell him the good news.

"No. It's my fault he got his addiction." Jaden told her quietly, sighing. "Mind and Jude's, at least. We made him equate pain and depression with the need for having sex. He told us about it. That's what his therapist told him. And the fact that he's a Macnair who grew up with a very sexual Uncle Rider."

Jaden sighed softly and kissed her forehead. "It's not your fault at all. Don't blame yourself, Char."

Charlotte gave Jaden a sad look. "I'm the one who made him depressed," she said. She leaned against Jaden, wrapping her arms around him tightly. She still wasn't quite sure she believed that he'd been in love with her, but... maybe she had to. Even if he'd never said anything to her.

"I'm staying now though. I'm not going away again." She looked up at Jaden. "I don't want him to hurt anymore. I want him to get better and feel better about everything. I want him to be happy."

	Bruno was carrying a large bag full of Chinese food. All the things he knew Charlotte liked. He smiled to himself and pushed open the door to the house they were going to be living in together and put the stuff down on the counter. "Char?" Charlotte pulled away from Jaden and took a deep breath to steady herself. "You should go," she said. "If you and Bruno still don't get along." She probably should have had him out the door before Bruno came home. She leaned up, kissing him again. "But I'll see you tomorrow night for our date."

Charlotte smiled at Jaden, getting to her feet and sorting her dress and her hair out, then opened the bedroom door and walked down to the kitchen. "It smells amazing," she told Bruno, smiling at him. "Jaden stopped by."

Bruno looked at Charlotte, frowning at that. "You had him over already? Didn't take you long." He told her as he angrily set down a package of crab ragoon, watching it spill over onto the counter. He took a deep breath, calming himself.

"Sorry." He told her as he started to clean it up, watching Jaden sneak past. He turned to the fridge and grabbed a beer. "You can eat. I'm not hungry anymore."

Charlotte watched Jaden leave and then looked at Bruno again, feeling sad. This wasn't the way things were supposed to be between them. She picked up a towel, sopping up some of the spilled sauce. "You should eat, Bruno."

She put the towel down, twisting her hands together. "Jaden and I... He told me some things. About what happened when I was gone and why you're not friends with him anymore. I... Did you really..." Charlotte looked at Bruno for a long moment, then shook her head, tucking a bit of hair behind her ear. "I shouldn't dredge things up. I already hurt you enough."

"He told me you used to have feelings for me," Charlotte said quietly. "I didn't know if I should believe him or not. Because you've never... I assumed you would have said something. You always acted like you thought of me as maybe a little sister or something."

She looked up at him. "But... he also said that the reason you have your addiction is because you were so depressed after I left, and then he and Jude took you out and got you to have sex to make those bad feelings go away, and I..." Charlotte shook her head. "I'm the reason you have to go to therapy."

Bruno frowned at what Charlotte was saying. He shook his head and moved towards her, wrapping his arms around her. "You are not the reason I'm in therapy. I'm in therapy because I suffer from depression and have a severe sexual addiction that I can't control."

He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Look. I love you. I had feelings for you and then you left. It took a while to get over you. I'm fine now. And besides. You never tell a girl you like her. It makes you look stupid."

He was fine now. He'd gotten over her. Charlotte leaned against Bruno, wrapping her arms around him. She was so stupid and selfish, feeling upset that Bruno had gotten over having feelings for her when she had a boyfriend. Even if she'd called Jaden over so she could distract herself from the way Bruno made her feel. She didn't want to be with a prince anymore. She just wanted to be with him.

"That's not true," she said. "Telling a girl you like her makes you brave. It means neither of you has to miss out on something amazing." Charlotte looked up at Bruno and kissed his cheek. "I'm still sorry. I'm selfish. But I love you too, Bruno. I just want you to feel better."

	Being this close to her was difficult. Bruno looked down at her for a moment and then pressed her back against the counter. He kissed her softly, running her hands down her sides and resting his hands on her hips, pressing close. "You don't have anything to be sorry for." He told him, then kissed down her neck. This was not the kind of kiss Charlotte was used to getting from Bruno. She made a soft sound against his lips when she was pressed back against the counter, fingers bunching in his shirt.

"I... I'm still sorry," she said, head tilting for him automatically when he kissed at her neck. Charlotte closed her eyes for a moment. Bruno was just her friend. He was just being friendly.

Charlotte didn't know what was happening, but Bruno was kissing her and touching her and rubbing against her and it felt good. Not just good. All this stuff felt good with Jaden too, but this was different. This felt right.

"Make me stop," she said, tightening her grip on Bruno's shirt. She kissed him, leaning into his touch, pressing her hips back against his. "I'm so sorry."

	Bruno pressed their bodies closer, his hands moving over her skin beneath her shirt. He kissed her again, this time more deeply, tongue invading her mouth. He moaned softly against her lips, feeling himself get hard against her thigh. "Stop." Charlotte could feel him getting hard too and she knew this was bad, she knew she should make him stop because this was a line they shouldn't cross, but she wanted it. She wanted to be this closer to Bruno, to feel him kissing her and touching her.

She wrapped her legs around Bruno's waist, helping him get her shirt off, and then kissed him again, shaking her head again. "I won't," she said. "I don't want to stop."

They should have stopped. One of them should have been stopping the other. But, here they were and he definitely wasn't stopping now that her shirt was off. He looked down at her bra and unhooked it, slipping it off easily, his mouth kissing at her breasts.

Bruno picked her up from the counter and turned them around, pressing her against the wall, rubbing his hips against her. "You are so beautiful."

Charlotte had never let Jaden get this far with her before. She let out a soft moan when Bruno's mouth touched her breasts, and then he was picking her up and pressing her against the wall and rubbing against her just right.

"You're so perfect," she said, smiling. Charlotte buried her hands in Bruno's hair, pulling him into a deep kiss and making a hungry sound against his mouth. She wanted this. Him. They could worry about consequences after.

Bruno held her close to his chest and kissed her again, then turned with her in his arms and walked straight back to where his room was. He kicked the door open and pushed her back onto the bed, crawling on top of her.

He let his mouth move down between her breasts, kissing at each one of them. His tongue swirled around her nipple, his eyes looking up at her. "Are you sure you want this?"
