James was on the run. Sort of. He had been minding his business, getting a coffee, when the paparazzi showed up. He liked what he did and, if he was honest, he liked the attention it got him, but sometimes a bloke just wanted to drink his coffee in peace. He slipped out the back of the shop, after charming a barista, and he was walking away with his head down when he turned the corner and spotted Cepheus.

Cepheus had made it pretty clear that he didn't actually like James that much in the time that they'd known each other, but he was Al's friend and any port in a storm. "Let me borrow your hoodie," James said, walking up to Cepheus and touching his arm. He glanced over his shoulder, then took his hat off and put it on Cepheus's head to try and confused anyone looking for him. "Please?"

James got in the car. He'd take being called pathetic and losing his coffee. At least he wasn't being swarmed by cameras. "You rich kids have it so easy," he said, shaking his head. "The rest of us don't have cars that follow us around."

He looked at Cepheus, giving him a real smile and not the one he used with fans and photographers. "Thank you, though. So what are you doing this fall? School somewhere like Al, or are you going to model like your brother?"

"Gratitude doesn't suit you, Potter." Cepheus frowned at him, picking up his phone to scroll through the gossip columns. He had to make sure he wasn't on any of them. But, of course he was. He sighed softly. "I was gracious enough to let you get in my car and now I'm apparently shagging you."

He held out his phone, thinking about the question. "I'm not doing anything, as of right now. Reading all of Albus's old comic books is my future plan."

James took the phone from Cepheus and laughed at the picture of him getting into Cepheus's car. "I didn't even touch you," he pointed out. "If I was shagging you, you wouldn't look so annoyed. Although you are adorable when you're scowling."

He handed Cepheus back his phone. "Sounds like fun. I would have thought you'd be off to Cambridge or someplace. I guess when your parents have more money than God, you don't have to worry about school. Still living at home, then? Your brother and Al are living together, which is a terrible idea."

"No. I'm looking into a flat of my own." Cepheus told James with a shrug, tucking his phone into his pocket. He took a sip of the coffee, wrinkling his nose. "There's not enough sugar in this. What are you? An old person?"

He sighed softly. "Anyways, I'm living with Xavier. My boyfriend. But, I think I've found a flat I like. I've considered a job, since my father is angry with me for not going to school."

James laughed. "I'm a professional athlete, Malfoy," he reminded him. "I can't go around putting sugar in everything I eat. Besides, didn't your mother used to keep you and brother on a strict diet regime? I remember the snacks at your birthday parties sucking."
