"No," Lucy said, grinning at Mason. "I'm perfectly fine having this effect on you." She kissed him back and leaned against him a little, since he had his arm around her anyway.
"I'm going to hold you to that. I want to read an article about how you punched Chad Kroger in the face. You'll be more than just my hero." She reached up and ruffled his hair. "I missed you too, honestly. I like you."
