"It doesn't feel like it'll be okay," Scorpius told Rex, glancing at him when he took his hand. "I was in love with Albus for five years. He was the first person I kissed. The first person I had sex with. I started dating him thinking we were going to be together forever and then it lasted three weeks and I wasn't even there for the last week." He wiped at his eyes with his free hand again, looking at everyone else. "Who, James? I think he fancies Cepheus."
"Maybe I thought they'd be reasonable and get to know Rex as a person before they judged him," Lavinia said, frowning at Antonia. "He's nice. And you can't get breast cancer from getting punched in the boob."
"You were going to come with me," James pointed out. "Fucking Al. He couldn't have waited a bit? I'm going to miss you on the trip. I'll score a goal for you."
