"I know he's a dog," Charlotte said, kissing the top of Bertie's head. "He's an adorable puppy and I love him very much. I bought him a little hoodie already. And a hat in case he gets cold."
She looked up at Bruno and laughed. "What, you don't think Bertie is manly? We can get you a butch dog if you want one. Just no bully dogs."
