"You won't lose me," Scorpius promised, shaking his head. "I've never loved anybody else, Albus. I don't even know if I could. You've been it for me the whole time." He reached out and hooked their fingers together. "And you telling me to take off my ring was the scariest thing I've ever heard."
"Okay, okay." James held up his hands in supplication. "I didn't mean to offend you. I just don't want you to pass out because you're working so hard. What can I help with? It's my wedding too."
