Rider found Pyxis siting by herself in the common room and flopped down next to her. Things had been easier for him lately and he was starting to hate everyone a little bit less. He knew he had Pyxis to thank for it. He wrapped an arm around her. "You telling on my cousin or half-brother or whatever the fuck he was really made them lighten up on me."

He looked down at her. "Sorry about your friend being put away for close observation or whatever they're calling it. How's the half-brother of mine that you're fucking?"

	"What did he say?" Pyxis didn't like that Walden was taking the advice of Rooney Macnair, of all people. She shook her head. "No one is going to find out about us. We're careful, Walden.
