Walden picked Pyxis up, walking over to his desk and taking a seat behind it, holding her close in his lap. "Rider... We'll have to thank him," he said, giving Pyxis a small smile. "That's... that will help us a lot."
He kissed Pyxis for a long moment, closing his eyes and trying not to be too obvious about how worried he was. "This... Fuck. I don't know what to do, Pyxis. I'm so sorry this happened. I should have been more careful when we were together."
