"It's natural to fear change," he said as he watched Reagan's lovely hands move against his pajamas. "But if I were you, I'd fear what was in here more." To indicate what 'here' meant, he reached out and pressed a hand against Reagan's chest. He didn't mean to sound so philosophical, but he genuinely believed that all of the men in his care had something inside of them that would drive them over the edge someday. He was there to prevent that. He'd let his mother go and he wouldn't let it happen to anyone else.
"I don't blame you for being scared or wanting to run away."
