Instead of pulling away from the bite, Adam drove his hand into it with a growl. It was easier to force Reagan to release that way rather than tearing his own skin by pulling away. With his other hand, he hooked his thumb down so that the nail would scrape uncomfortably against Reagan's insides, showing him that he had him in a vulnerable position.
