Elijah didn't have to wait long until Shay was hugging him. He was foolish enough to believe that everything would be perfect now. He was too overjoyed to think that the aftermath might be difficult to get through too. For now, at least, he was on cloud nine and as long as he had Elijah, he was pretty sure things would stay good. He hugged him so tightly he nearly squeezed the life out of him.
Even though Parker had snapped at Murphy, he went right over to him and took his hand. "Come on," he said softly. "It'll be all right." He didn't plan on just abandoning him, knowing that he would have a hard time. Something about Murphy had attached itself to Adam and Parker could see it. He feared for the boy more than he feared for the others.
Liam couldn't hold himself together as well as Reagan had. He tried, but failed. It was terrifying to think that his team would see him cry, even a little, but as soon as he made contact with Reagan, he let out the smallest of whimpers and hid his face in the man's neck, the heat of tears falling against Reagan's skin. He managed to collect himself to get back upstairs.
