Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Laura Madley and Ruby Montgomery
What: Laura needs to copy Ruby's notes. And then they drink.
When: About twenty minutes after Laura put her journal down
Where: Across the corridor from the Library, in an unused classroom
Rating/Warnings: default PG for now/default nothing for now

Laura grabbed a bottle of Odgens Finest and slid it into her bookbag, along with her wand. Dashing up the corridors leading to the surface, she skidded into the kitchen and begged a plate or three from the elves who, as usual, were more than happy to help. It was a very laden down Laura who made her way to the fourth floor, slightly more than twenty minutes after she had put down her journal. She hoped Ruby wouldn't mind her being ever so slightly late.

"I'm serious," Ruby said, firmly yet quietly. "As serious as anyone could ever get," she added, in case Laura didn't quite get it.
"I--just don't know if this is, right for me," she added, voicing a concern that wasn't really hers. She just needed an excuse that would make sense.
"And--I just--have to go," she said, as she started to walk off in a hurried pace.

Disappointed, and more than a little let down, Laura slowly made her way back to her dorm room. She hadn't expected to feel like this. It wasn't supposed to be a big deal, just feeling a girl up on a nice afternoon.

It was her own fault, she reflected. She shouldn't have let herself get so into it. But the damage was done. Laura only hoped Ruby was still speaking to her - the last thing she needed was a Slytherin hell bent on revenge against her.
