Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO; Stephen Cornfoot and Hannah Abbott
WHEN; After class
WHERE; Entrance hall
WHAT; Stephen and Hannah meet for a friendly meeting where they'll just talk and nothing more (Stephen gave his word).
RATING; PG/PG-13
STATUS; Incomplete

To ay Stephen was nervous was an understatement. He hadn't been able to sleep as well as usuall that night because he couldn't stop thinking about the meeting. The mere thought of losing Hannah's friendship was eating him alive. He couldn't believe how his plan had turned out so badly. He thought the whole secret admirer thing would make her feel special and she would be actually excited to know who the admirer was, and once he revealed himself she would be glad if not happy to know it was him... But nothing happened the way he had planned it and now he needed to fix thinsg before they got worse.

Stephen didn't want to be late and make her wait, so he immediately after class rushed to the Entrance Hall where he was supposed to meet Hannah. He rested his back on the cold wall and fixed his tie -- though there wasn't anything to be fixed because the tie was perfect, it had been like that since he got dressed in the morning -- while he waited, telling himself over and over again to calm down. Everything was going to be okay... or so he hoped.

To be with him felt like it had such a calming and relaxing effect on her, she wanted to just curl up into his arms and be there. Ever since her mum had died before, things had been weird and it was not often she felt all happy, or at least not relaxed or calmed, it felt like she was stressed a lot over school and her future what she should work with and do when she left Hogwarts. But now she could think of other things, and with a smile across her face, one of those calm and very happy ones. Suddenly she got her arms around him, reaching back to his back and hugging him, leaning her cheek to his chest and a bit of one of his shoulders, closing her eyes. "Thank you.. For all of this.. being here." She felt a bit silly suddenly when she had said it, it had sounded very serious and like she had been in a relationship with him for a long time or something, and they had not even had a real date, if you didn't count this.. Hopefully he would want more of these meetings as much as she wanted them, she could feel it now, she would so long for them, in a such a good way..

But the moment he asked if they should take a walk to the lake, she looked up suddenly from his chest, and looked at him with big eyes, and then she pulled away, so they weren't touching anymore, and she looked away and down and mumbled. "Oh, sure.. It's beautiful there, it's just so many people there.. so I don't want them to see.. They would just ask me stuff.. and I don't want that. I bet they already will though, you are the captain for Ravenclaw's quidditch team after all.." She looked up at him suddenly with a little smile and then she brushed some hair behind her ear and said. "Maybe we should go back though.. I have a.. erm.. a lot of homework to do." She looked down, blushing a little, maybe it was bad this whole thing, so many girls would dislike her for this, she knew it..

Feeling her arms around him, Stephen hugged her tighter, rubbing his hand comfortingly up and down her back. "There's no need to thank, Hannah. That's what friends are for." And boyfriends too, he said to himself. He pressed a kiss on top of her head and squeezed her in his arms. She felt so good and right in his arms, and she smelled so well, like flowers and soap.

When she pulled away, Stephen wondered if he had said or done something wrong. "Hannah, could you do me a favour and stop reminding me I'm the Quidditch Captain?" He said with a smile, his tone sweet. "To you, I'm just Stephen Cornfoot. That's how I want you to see me, not as the Quidditch captain or anything else." He brushed the back of his hand against her cheek. "But if you want to head back inside, we can do that... Would you mind if I stayed with you while you do your homework? I also have homework to do." At least that way they could be together.
