Gwen Bobbins found her best friend sitting in the library smoking, which was just typical Louis, really. She smiled as she walked over to him and set her books down in front of him with a thump. "I had a terrible break," she tried to say, in mangled French, so it come out, "My terrible break." She flopped into the seat next to him. "My parents France to take myself." She switched back to English. "It was supposed to improve my French skills, but it did not. My mother hates that Hogwarts doesn't teach language classes. She doesn't get that being a witch is totally cooler."

She made grabby fingers at Louis's cigarette. "How were your holidays? I'm dying for a smoke. I haven't had one since I chain smoked your pack on the way to King's Cross before break."

Gwendolyn raised an eyebrow at the offer. "You're practically handing me the win. It's going to be way easier to shag Roxanne then a professor. But yeah, okay. Deal." She held her hand out to shake on it. "Beating you is going to be fun."

"You're not going to beat me. I'm much more persuasive." Even if he wasn't sure of that, he was going with it. He looked her over. Sure, his professor was apparently straight, but he'd shagged harder victories. "Fine. It's a deal."

Gwen laughed, getting to her feet. "I'm going to go find Roxanne Weasley and ask her to come to Hogsmede with me this weekend. I don't know what you're going to do. Look up his office hours, maybe? Good luck."

Louis frowned at her and stood up. "I don't need office hours. I'm just going to march in there and tell him what he needs. Yeah?"
