Kiernan laughed softly. "Living here while Velma and my ex are both still in America? I wasn't going to pass up the job opportunity," he said, relaxing as Louis rubbed his shoulders.
He let his head fall forward, making a soft sound. "Life very rarely makes sense. You're just too young to have realized that yet."
