Albus had kind of been missing Scorpius again. And he knew that made him a bad boyfriend. A horrible boyfriend, if you will. But, he couldn't help it. Scorpius was just so... perfect. And he'd loved him for so long it seemed so stupid to not be with him.

But, there was Kit to worry about. Who was currently looking through some sheet music so they could find a song to sing for Valentines day. "Any luck in there?"

"You say that and I start to think that you haven't met Ana before," Kit said, laughing. "I'll admit that I'm not that afraid of Caspar. Or I wasn't, until he started dating Xavier Macnair. Apparently he came in and did a big romantic audition for him and then they snogged even though Ana was still in the room."

He stopped looking through the music, moving closer to Albus and pulling him into a kiss. "I plan on keeping you around for much longer than that."

	Albus smiled at Kit and kissed him softly, running his fingers through the other boy's hair. "Seems a bit odd. Xavier auditioning for something like this. "It's love," Kit said, shrugging and squeezing Albus's hand as he looked up at him. "People do all sorts of things for love. Including auditioning for choirs. Apparently he's not that bad, but Ana mostly talked about how sweet she thought the whole thing was. It's too bad about Caspar and Scorpius. Caspar really fancied him. But he seems happy now."

He shrugged. "Honestly, I wish I knew less about my friends' love lives. It gets so dull."

	"Why are you talking about me at all?" Caspar asked as he entered the choir room, a frown on his face. "You don't need to worry about my love life. Worry about your own, since the reason Scorpius and I broke up in the first place was because he called me Alby in bed." Albus frowned at that. "What? No he didn't." He shook his head. Kit frowned at Caspar. He didn't really see why him saying he thought Caspar was happy deserved a comment like that and a frown from Caspar, but they were definitely ignoring Caspar and Ana's stupid claim on good songs now. "Don't be a dick, Cas."

He gave his and Albus's joint hands and close proximity a pointed look. "I trust Albus. He and Scorpius are best friends and the day you broke up Albus said he thought he should get up to wake Scorpius for you. It wouldn't surprise me if Scorpius called you by his name, but it wouldn't worry me either. They've been best friends forever."

	Caspar laughed at that and shook his head. "If that's what you want to believe. I'm sure he's got you living in a little fairy tale world where he's not as bad as most other boys. "Even you've cheated?" Kit repeated, a bit incredulously. "You mean you had a fight with Scorpius and broke up with him because he said his best friend's name while he was half asleep, but you'd actually cheated on him? Because I know you, Cas. Before Scorpius, there was Ana and your all-consuming crush."

Kit really didn't understand the... meanness. What had he done to Caspar? "Why would I bother? To cause problems? I love him, and that means that I trust him."

	Caspar rolled his eyes and grabbed the box of sheet music. "Think what you will, Smith. But, Albus is just like every other man. And every other man has tendencies." "Yeah, apparently he is," Kit said, frowning after Caspar and running a hand through his hair. "Fuck. Does he not notice that I'm a man too? I know I'm pretty, but for God's sake. What was that even about?"

He looked at Albus, then stepped closer to him and pressed their lips together. "Sorry he dragged you into whatever that was. You don't need to look so worried."

	It was important to Kit, but he knew Albus wanted to work with Potions when he left Hogwarts, not be a performer. He wanted Albus to love choir at least half as much as he did. "Let's do Love Shack," he said. "It'll be a lot of fun. It's upbeat and happy. I'm sure there will be enough ballads without us adding to them." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kit nodded. Singing a song people would actually enjoy sounded better than playing second-fiddle to Ana's inevitable ballad, honestly. But still. Albus didn't seem that happy about it. "I know," Kit said, nodding and relaxing a little. Albus was worried about it because he cared about his best friend and didn't want things to get awkward. It made sense.

"It seems like you have two options," he said. "You can ignore it and let Scorpius deal with whatever he's feeling on his own, or you can try and talk to him about it, but that might create problems. I mean, has Scorpius hit on you or anything?"
