Albus had kind of been missing Scorpius again. And he knew that made him a bad boyfriend. A horrible boyfriend, if you will. But, he couldn't help it. Scorpius was just so... perfect. And he'd loved him for so long it seemed so stupid to not be with him.

But, there was Kit to worry about. Who was currently looking through some sheet music so they could find a song to sing for Valentines day. "Any luck in there?"

Albus's eyes slipped closed when Kit kissed him like that. He reached up and touched the other boy's cheek, basking in the kiss and how good it felt before he pulled back and gave him a sad look, letting his hand drop.

"We can't." Albus shook his head. "I'm not going to hurt you again, Kit. And if I'm unsure about my feelings for you, I don't think I should be with you. Do you understand that?"

Kit understood it, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He reached up and rubbed at his eyes. "Can you... Can you at least promise me that you like me enough not to start dating Scorpius right away?" he asked, voice soft. He dropped his hands into his lap, but kept his eyes focused on the floor. "I don't think I could handle that. Not with how certain I am about how I feel for you."

	Albus looked at Kit for a moment, then reached over and slipped his hand into the other boys. "I won't date Scorpius right away." He promised him, then leaned in and kissed his forehead gently. It was a stupid question, especially since Kit had already started planning out things for him and Albus to do on Valentine's Day, and because part of him had hoped that Albus would say he wasn't sure how he felt about Scorpius either. Just... something to make this hurt a little less.

"No," he said. He pulled his hand away from Albus. "I wanted to sing with my boyfriend. I don't think we should sing duets anymore. Not for a while, anyway. It'll just make everything hurt more."

	"I'm sorry." Albus told him quietly and then sighed softly. He stood up from the piano bench and looked back at Kit briefly. "I'm just going to go back to my dorm and lay in bed for a bit." He looked at him for a moment, then sighed and walked out of the door, heading straight for Slytherin. He walked to where Scorpius's bed was, finding him there. "Kit knows." 	Scorpius looked up at Albus, confused for a moment, until it occurred to him that there was really only one important thing that Kit could know. He put his book down and sat up straighter. "He knows?" he repeated, searching Albus's face for some kind of sign about what this meant. "Are... you okay?" Scorpius asked, reaching out and touching Albus's hand. 	"I don't know." Albus admitted as he stared down at Scorpius's hand against his own. He curled his fingers around the other boys, then slipped into his bed and closed his eyes. 	"Caspar? Why? What did he do?" Scorpius asked, reaching up to pet at Albus's hair. He wanted to take care of him, even if part of him still felt really nervous about this. And, he had to admit, happy. Maybe now he and Albus could... be together. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Scorpius nodded, playing with Albus's hair as he thought about what he'd said. He sort of wished Albus had actually... wanted to tell Kit about them, but he knew Albus cared about the other boy. 	Scorpius kissed Albus's forehead. He knew Albus felt bad, but comforting him after he broke up with his boyfriend when all Scorpius really wanted to do was jump for joy was very odd.
