Charlotte shook her head and grinned at Evan. "It's a surprise," she said. "A surprise I really hope you like so I don't feel stupid."
She leaned against his side. "Because it's almost Valentine's Day and it's always all about the girl, so I wanted to do something for you so you know that I'm not just... I don't know. Sitting around expecting you to be amazing for me in return for my company, as wonderful as my company is."
