"When did we get so old?" Victoire leaned back against Scorpius's bed and looked back at him. "I mean... it's your fifteenth birthday today. Mine is next month. I don't even understand how we aged so fast. I feel like we should still be in diapers." She sighed dramatically and then leaned against Scorpius. "Am I getting wrinkles yet?"

Cepheus was bored. Scorpius was spending all his time with Victoire and he was left to his own devices. He ran a hand through his curly hair, glancing between Teddy and Xavier. "M'bored." He informed them both, then flopped back against the floor beneath him. "For fuck sake. We need to find something to do. What do you think, Teds?"

Albus glanced at Marigold, who was braiding Charlotte's hair. He didn't even know why he was over. Probably because Marigold and Charlotte had both invited him over. "You should put flowers in her hair." Albus suggested, looking Charlotte over. "You have really pretty skin. I wish mine was that smooth."

"You don't have to be chaste, Scorpius. You know that you don't." Victoire smiled at Scorpius and leaned against him. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "Gay or not, I'd always be your first if you wanted."

Cepheus contemplated cake eating and then sighed. "Mum is probably eating all the cake herself." He glanced at Teddy. "Why are you so obsessed with Victoire? She's your cousin."

"James hardly counts as a man. I think he's more of a woman than my Mum is." Albus frowned at Charlotte. He didn't want to talk about his brother. "I tried to make sure that he wouldn't show up today with Roxanne and ruin everything."

"I like James." Marigold smiled at Albus and shook her head. "You shouldn't be so mean to your brother. I don't have a brother. You're lucky to have one."

"I think you deserve better than someone gay, don't you?" Scorpius asked, smiling at her. "Besides, Bill would kill me if he ever found out about it." Not to mention Teddy, but if Scorpius mentioned Teddy would be upset about it Victoire might push harder for sex.

"Shut up," Teddy said, kicking Cepheus gently. "Why are you so obsessed with your face? It's none of your business and there's nothing wrong with liking Victoire. She's a very pretty girl."

"You're weird, Teddy," Xavier said, snorting. "You don't need to make a fuss. Everyone knows you fancy her."

"You don't have a brother. You don't have any siblings, so you don't understand what it's like," Charlotte pointed out, glancing back at Marigold. "It's awful. Louis and Victoire go out of their way to annoy me."

"It was only a suggestion. It's not like my father would come barreling into the room to kill you." Victoire pointed out and then shrugged, pulling away from him a bit.

"With my face? I'm not obsessed with my face." Cepheus frowned at that and looked back at Teddy. "Even if it is sexy as fuck. Don't talk about my face."

"I think maybe you don't have the patience." Marigold pointed out and shook her head. "I would have patience. I've been trying to convince my father to give my mother another child."

"I'm not entirely sure that's true," Scorpius said. "Your father is very protective of you." He shifted closer to Victoire when he moved away and reached out to take her hand in his. "Don't move. It's my birthday. Did you get me anything?"

"I'll talk about your face all I want," Teddy said. Especially if it kept Cepheus from talking about Victoire. "Do you want to go see about that cake or something now? Maybe your mother will let you open a present early."

"Your mum's probably the one to convince," Charlotte pointed out. "She has to carry it. Maybe you can just take Louis or something. I wouldn't mind."

"Of course I did." Victoire nodded and looked back at Scorpius. "But, you don't get it until..." She glanced at her watch. "In two hours, when your party officially starts."

Cepheus sighed dramatically. "I think I want to go see about Victoire now." He told Teddy defiantly. "Maybe she'll let me snog her or something. At least she's not my cousin."

"Why are you talking about me?" Louis asked as he laid down on the couch where they were. He gave her a glance. "Are you being mean about me again?"

"Mean," Scorpius said, smiling at her. "What are we going to do for two hours? I'm not supposed to go downstairs until the party is all set up and my bedroom just isn't that interesting. Although your company is lovely."

Teddy frowned at Cepheus. "She'd much rather snog Scorpius than you," he said firmly. Not that he was thrilled with the idea of her snogging Scorpius, but still. It was the truth. "We could go see her." He'd take when he could get.

Xavier rolled his eyes at both of them as he sat up. "I'm going to make you both go see Victoire and Scorpius now," he informed them. "Otherwise you'll sit here bickering. At least if we put you and Scorpius in the same room we might find out why you're mad at him this time."

Charlotte thought about lying for a moment. "Yes," she said. "Only in the usual way." She looked her brother over. "Are you coming to the party tonight?"

"I don't know. We could break the rules and go into your father's study to read your mother's trashy romance novels." Victoire suggested. "I'm a rule breaker."

Cepheus frowned at Xavier. "You're supposed to be on my side." He reminded him and then stopped up the stairs to go towards his brother's room.

"I'm being forced to go to the party by Dad." Louis pointed out and rolled his eyes. "I don't know why. Cepheus and I don't get along very well."

Scorpius laughed when Victoire called herself a rule breaker. "We could read my mother's trashy romance novels in the comfort of my room too," he pointed out. "And we wouldn't even have to risk my father being annoyed that we'd gone into his study. I don't even know why he has that thing. He's got an office at work. Why make a second one?"

"Right," Xavier said. He reached out and ruffled Cepheus's curls, since he didn't let Xavier do his hair anyway. Even though he could make it look so nice it Cepheus would only let him use some product and scissors. "I'm on your side. I just like picking on you too."

"I like Cepheus," Charlotte said. "At least he's not as boring as Scorpius is." She glanced at Albus. "No offence. I know you're friends with both of them, but still. Scorpius only ever really talks to Victoire. They might as well just get married now."

"I don't know. My mum said it's probably your grandfathers. The one who died. I asked her why rich people needed an office." Victoire laughed at that and bumped their shoulders. "Do you have one of your Mum's books?"

"You see if I stand up for you when you get into an argument with my dad again!" Cepheus teased, then flashed a smile at his brother. "So did you hear? Dad gave everyone that goes to Hogwarts an invitation to this thing."

Albus frowned at that. The thought of Scorpius marrying Victoire didn't sit well with him and he didn't know why. "You shouldn't talk like that. He doesn't feel that way about Victoire. They're like siblings."

"I'm not sure," Scorpius said, sitting up and looking around his tidy room. "I might have left one in here when you were in France and I was bored during the last school break. I bet there are some in Teddy's room, though."

Xavier couldn't help making a face in response to that. "What is he going to do when the two of you turn seventeen?" he asked. "Your dad is way too fond of parties. They're having their big Christmas party in a week."

"I like all the parties," Teddy said, grinning. "The girls get dressed up. It's th holiday season so I get to wear sequins without people looking at me funny. Plus, presents. It's a good time of year."

Charlotte shook her head. "Siblings who spend all their time cuddling. Which siblings really don't do." She looked at her brother. "Right, Louis?"

Victoire arched a brow at that. "Teddy reads the romance novels?" She asked and then snorted. "He is such a freak. Oh my god. He stares at me like he's in love with me. It's so weird. I'm his cousin."

"The Christmas parties are fun. He doesn't invite the entire school for that. Just the friends we like." Cepheus looked at Teddy. "Even then, the sequins are weird. People think you're gay."

"I cuddle Victoire. I just don't like you." Louis pointed out and then smiled at Albus. "Hello there, Alby." He gave him a smirk.

Albus frowned at that for a moment and stood up. "I think I'm going to try and find Scorpius."

Scorpius laughed. "You were just saying we should read romance novels," he pointed out. "Anyway, I'm pretty sure Teddy just reads the dirty bits. I guess most people just read the dirty bits, but still. It's somewhat redeeming."

Teddy shrugged at that. "I don't mind," he said. "It's not like being gay is a bad thing. Both my parents and their partners are gay. Besides, it doesn't stop girls from snogging me."

"Louis, you repell people so quickly," Charlotte said, looking at her brother and shaking her head. She turned back to Albus. "He's probably at Malfoy Manor cuddling with Victoire."

"I don't know. I've never ready one before." Victoire admitted and looked back at Scorpius. "I can make up my own fantasies. I don't need someone else to make them for me." She paused. "You still have that fantasy of rolling around with David Bowie on a glitter covered floor?"

"Are you gay?" Cepheus arched a brow and looked Teddy over. "I mean, I'd be okay with it if you were. My dad is your dad. In case you hadn't realised that."

Albus frowned. "It's not him that's repelling me." He pointed out and then walked over to the floo, throwing some powder in.

Louis frowned at his sister for a moment. "Why are you being such a bitch, Charlotte?"

"Doesn't everyone have that fantasy?" Scorpius asked, laughing. "Maybe just people raised by Charlie. I don't know. I always thought it was pretty common to think about how hot it would be to roll around in glitter with him."

"I know he is," Teddy said. "I'm not gay. Well, only for David Bowie. I like girls. Blondes. Pretty blondes with an attitude who are too stubborn for their own good."

Xavier snorted. "So what you're saying is that if Cepheus was a girl you'd want him?"

Charlotte frowned back at Louis. "I'm not being a bitch. Get out of my room. You can't just come in here and insult me."

Victoire snorted and then looked up when Albus came through the floo. She grinned at him. "Albus. You're just in time for sexual fantasy talk."

Albus froze there, staring at Victoire for a moment. "I.. Should I leave?" He asked and then walked over, sitting on the edge of Scorpius's bed. "Are you talking about Bowie again?"

"I get so tired of hearing about David Bowie. You guys should listen to good music." Cepheus informed Teddy, shaking his head. "Rider listens to Nirvana and other bands." He turned and glanced at Xavier. "Don't say things like that."

"I can insult you any time I want. Do you think Mum is going to care?" Louis arched a brow and shook his head. "You'd have to run crying to Dad."

"Victoire was the one who brought it up," Scorpius said, grinning at Albus. "Not me. I was just saying I don't know why she thinks it's weird that I want to roll around in glitter with him." He wrapped an arm around her, tugging gently on the ends of her hair. "She enjoys teasing me."

Teddy made a wounded sound when Cepheus said he should be listening to good music. "I might not be able to like you anymore," he said, giving the other boy a wounded look. "Bowie is God."

"You and Scorpius are both brainwashed," Xavier said, rolling his eyes. He looked at Cepheus and grinned. "Fine. I won't tease you."

"Well, I would," Charlotte told Louis. "Especially if you keep doing it in my room. I said get out, Louis." She pointed at the door, then looked at Marigold. "This is what I meant about siblings."

Albus shrugged and looked back at Scorpius. "I don't know. I think it'd be weird to want to roll around in glitter with anyone. It would get everywhere." He pointed out. "In places you could never get clean again."

"That's half the fun." Victoire winkled at Albus and smiled. "I'm kidding. I'm really not a slut. You can ask Scorpius."

"We just have a difference in opinions on music. It's not a big deal." Cepheus wrapped an arm around Teddy's shoulders. "Do you want to make out? Will that make you feel better?"

"I don't think he did anything wrong. You are being kind of rude today." Marigold pointed out and shook her head. "I should go home anyway. I have to get ready for the twins's birthday party."

Scorpius snorted. "I'm not going to defend you," he told Victoire. "You're the one who told me you didn't need romance novels because you could fantasize just fine on your old." He pulled her closer and looked at Albus, smiling. "But she's right. Being permanently glittered is half the fun."

Teddy wrinkled his nose at Cepheus. "No offence, but you're my brother, so not really, no." He laughed and ruffled Cepheus's hair. "Go make out with Albus or something. Someone who wasn't raised with you."

Charlotte felt like pouting. Things had been going so well until Louis came in. "All right," she said. "I'll see you at the party, though."

Albus looked back at Scorpius for a moment. He hated seeing Victoire and Scorpius like this. So close. He liked when it was just he and Scorpius hanging out. "I don't know. I've gotten mud in places in Quidditch. I don't like washing that off and it's easy."

"So you're into cousins and not brothers? You don't make sense mate." Cepheus pointed out and shook his head, pushing the door open to his brother's room. He frowned at everyone there. "Having a party without me?"

Louis watched Marigold leave and then looked back at Charlotte. "You can't possibly blame that on me."

Scorpius was going to say something about Albus and the places he got mud in playing Quidditch, but then Cepheus walked in. He looked at his brother and tried not to sigh. "The party doesn't start for a while," he pointed out. "You're welcome to hang out with us until it starts, if you want to."

Teddy grinned at Victoire, walking over and sitting on Scorpius's bed. "Happy birthday, Scorp. We should all have a smaller party before the big one starts. We can have an underwear party."

Charlotte wanted to throw a pillow at Louis, but that seemed like it would make him even more smug than he already was. She leaned back against her pillows instead. "At least my friends come over. Where are yours?"

"An underwear party?" Victoire frowned at Teddy and his suggestion. "I'm not sure I entirely trust that sort of party. You're probably not wearing any pants."

"I'm not." Cepheus replied and then glanced at Scorpius. "I don't think that Scorpius wears any either."

"My friends are much older than me." Louis met most of his friends at clubs. Older men who liked the way he looked. "They don't have time for childish parties."
