"When did we get so old?" Victoire leaned back against Scorpius's bed and looked back at him. "I mean... it's your fifteenth birthday today. Mine is next month. I don't even understand how we aged so fast. I feel like we should still be in diapers." She sighed dramatically and then leaned against Scorpius. "Am I getting wrinkles yet?"

Cepheus was bored. Scorpius was spending all his time with Victoire and he was left to his own devices. He ran a hand through his curly hair, glancing between Teddy and Xavier. "M'bored." He informed them both, then flopped back against the floor beneath him. "For fuck sake. We need to find something to do. What do you think, Teds?"

Albus glanced at Marigold, who was braiding Charlotte's hair. He didn't even know why he was over. Probably because Marigold and Charlotte had both invited him over. "You should put flowers in her hair." Albus suggested, looking Charlotte over. "You have really pretty skin. I wish mine was that smooth."

"Boys aren't any better." Albus replied as he looked up at Teddy and sighed softly. "Do you think I'm ugly?" He asked, looking up at him sadly. "Do you think I should do something with my hair?"

Cepheus snorted and shook his head. "I don't know. I asked for the new nimbus, but she thinks I'll kill myself on it or something. She probably got it for Scorpius so that he would."

"Well. That's stupid. Who would be fond of Xavier?" Caspar asked and then stepped into the kitchen. It was huge and he didn't understand. "Your house is so nice."

Teddy gave Albus an odd look. "You're not ugly, mate," he said, and then looked up at the poofball of hair on top of his head. "Have you been talking to Xavier? I don't know. What do you want to do, dye it blue?" He changed his own hair to a bright blue colour, then to purple. "Maybe purple?"

Xavier snorted, then tugged on his little brother's hair gently. "You're... well, I can't say you're totally wrong, but come on. If you wanted a nimbus she wouldn't get one for Scorpius and not you. You're her favourite."

Scorpius walked over to the counter, laughing at Caspar. "Xavier really isn't so bad. He's just... awkward." He looked around the house and shrugged. "Yeah. There are a lot of us living here now, at least. I can't imagine what it was like when my father was a kid and it was just him and his parents." He got them scones and jam from the cupboard and then found the kettle to boil the water for tea. "Must have been lonely."

Albus watched Teddy's hair change colours and then shook his head. "No. None of that. I just.." He sighed. "I wish I could be like you. I'd make myself look like David Bowie and then..." He cut himself off.

"I know I am. It's just that... I don't know." Cepheus shrugged. "I know that she loves me and that I'm her favourite. But, I know she's not going to get me what I want. She'll probably get me more clothes."

"I'm an only child." Caspar replied as he looked back at Scorpius. "My mum and Dad were too. Dad was always telling Mum, he'd be like Hannah. We should have another kid. And they never did."

Teddy raised an eyebrow at Albus. It wasn't like he was being subtle about any of this. "And then you'd roll around in glittle with my brother?" he suggested. "Mate, just because he's got a crush on David Bowie doesn't mean you have to look like Bowie to date him. Bowie is God. Scorpius doesn't really want to fuck God."

"What about your dad?" Xavier asked. "I wouldn't mind getting clothes over a broom, but I'm me. I bet Draco would give you a broom if you pouted enough. He's pretty easy with you and Scorpius. Dad might do it too. To make you a man, you know?"

"I have a twin brother, a half-brother, a step-brother and a sister," Scorpius said, shrugging. "I don't know how I'd feel about being an only child, but I wouldn't object to having... one or two less siblings."

Albus looked back at Teddy and sighed. "Are you sure about that? Because he's not interested in me." He pointed out, poking at his own knee. He looked up at Teddy again. "Maybe he does want to fuck god."

"Rider is my father. I'm convinced." Cepheus replied. "As much as I love Draco, I think he likes Scorpius over me. You know? I doubt he'd get me one because he'd be afraid Mum would slaughter him."

Cepheus laughed at that. "I don't know. I'm not even sure what it'd be like to be in a family that bit." He looked Scorpius over for a moment, then leaned in and pressed their lips together. "I'm sorry. Consider it an early present."

"Maybe you need to stop complaining that you're not David Bowie and go... grab him and assert yourself or something, Albus. I mean, granted that technique hasn't really worked for me with Victoire, but it would work with Scoprius. He could fall madly in love with you and you could roll in glitter together. You're a Gryffindor, mate."

Xavier laughed. "You're too pretty to be Rider's kid," he told him. "You'd look more like me. But you may be right. Mum would probably kill Draco if you hurt yourself on the broom. Maybe you'll get lucky."

Scorpius blinked at Caspar when he was kissed, feeling startled. "It -- thank you," he said, because he wasn't sure what else to do. He'd only ever kissed Victoire before. He laughed, looking down at the scones for a moment while he weighd his options. It was just a kiss, right? And Caspar was nice. He looked up at him. "Don't apologise. It was a nice present."

"I don't think I was meant to be a Gryffindor." Albus pointed out as he looked back at Teddy. "Maybe you should grab Victoire and snog her senseless. Since that seems to be what you think I should do."

Cepheus sighed softly and leaned against Xavier's chest. "Let's face it. We're both miserable." He told his brother. "We should find you a boyfriend."

"It's not something I do all the time. It's just that..." Caspar blushed a bit. "You're Scorpius Malfoy. Every gay boy and straight girl want you. I guess I'm not different. I'm sorry."

"Victoire knows how I feel. Scorpius doesn't know how you feel," Teddy pointed out. "And Victoire would castrate me if I kissed her. Scorpius would at least let you get a bit of a snog out of it if he ended up rejecting you."

Xavier looked down at Cepheus and snorted. "It's your birthday and you get a massive party tonight and then a small family one tomorrow. Why are you miserable, Phe?" He ruffled his hair. "Maybe you should get a boyfriend."

"Do they?" Scorpius asked, giving Caspar a slightly confused look. "Are you sure they don't want Cepheus? I..." This was getting awkward, wasn't it? "Don't apologise. It was a nice kiss. I liked it."
