Pyxis found that she liked the customs of Beauxbatons, if she was being honest. Every two weeks, they were allowed to leave campus for the weekends. And this was the first one that Pyxis was taking advantage of. After her somewhat falling out with Walden, she felt conflicted about going to see him. Especially since Hogwarts didn't have the same customs.

So, she found herself asking Luka on a date. An actual date. She wasn't even sure Luka would want to go on a date, if she was being honest with herself. But, it was worth a try. She took a deep breath, glancing herself over in the mirror of the bathroom of the place they were eating at, then sat at their table to wait for him.

"Auror training already?" Luka gave Pyxis an impressed look. "That's good. Impressive. I didn't think they accepted many of their applicants anymore, let alone one who isn't finished school yet."

He leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his beer when it arrived. The thought of seeing her again appealed to him, but the mention of Valentine's Day made him cautious. "I thought you didn't want to tie yourself down yet."

"Well. Perhaps I'm just a bad-arse woman." Pyxis replied with a casual shrug. "They had to take me based purely on that. And I have nice tits."

Pyxis paused and looked back at Luka. "I don't. I just thought..." She stopped talking and then shook her head. Of course he didn't want to commit to her. He'd have all sorts of girls all over him soon enough and he wouldn't need her around anymore. "You're right. Nevermind."

Her eyes fell to her hands. She felt so stupid now. Why would anyone want to keep her around for long?

Luka looked Pyxis over for a moment, then nudged her foot under the table with his own. "Don't look like that," he told her. "I just wasn't sure what you were asking. I don't go on many dates. People don't really date at Durmstrang. And you said you didn't want to distract yourself from your dream."

He reached across the table, touching her hand. "If I'm not too big a distraction, I'll meet with you. Having you around is less distracting for me than wondering what you're doing and who you're doing it with anyway. You changed me."

The nudge made Pyxis snort. It was kind of cute. And then he was taking her hand. She looked back at him and nudged his foot back, her fingers brushing against his fingers. This was sweet. "I think that.. I think that maybe you are part of my dream."

Her eyes met his. "I won't apologise for changing you. Not one bit." She pointed out stubbornly. "But, you have nothing to worry about. I've only been with you since I started Beauxbatons. Just you."

"That's good." Luka had kind of expected her to be with her other boyfriend at least once. He looked her over. "Are you sure you want to do this? Whatever this is?" he asked her. "We don't have to commit to anything. I know you have someone else you like."

He didn't think Walden was right for Pyxis. He couldn't even throw a punch, and he wasn't that big, even if he was larger than normal. But he knew Pyxis liked him. "I get it if you're not ready to say you're only mine yet."

Pyxis took a moment to think about that. To think about Walden. She hadn't talked to him since the Yule Ball. He probably had a girlfriend by now and had forgotten all about her. It wasn't as if they were together.

"I promised to give him a chance." Pyxis said slowly and then looked back at Luka. "But, I honestly don't think I even want to. He's not right for me. He always tried to treat me like I was someone I'm not. Like I'm a princess and I hated it."

That made Pyxis laugh. "Now, if only we could figure out who I am. Yeah?" She arched a brow at Luka, still holding onto his hand. She brought it to her lips, letting them graze against the back of his hand, then smiled.

"At least you love me." Pyxis pointed out and then looked back at Luka. "I'm assuming that you still love me. If you don't, just plunge a knife in my chest right now."

"I do," Luka told her, snorting. "Don't kill yourself yet. It's not really important how I feel, though. Don't be with me because I love you. Be with me because you want to be with me. That's how this should work."

He leaned in and kissed her for a long moment, his hand cupping the back of her head. "I love you," he said, pulling back a little, looking into her eyes. "Now stop making me want to touch you. I'm trying to date you."

Pyxis snorted softly and then brushed their lips together again. "I'm trying to date you too. You can touch me. Just... not as much as you did when we were at school together. You can hold my hand. Touch my knee."

She pulled back when their food arrived. "I can't believe you're bulking up. You're already huge." She pointed out. "I'm not sure why you're a chaser. I'd think it better if you were a keeper and just plopped your large body in front of the hoops."

Luka made a face. "Keeping is for people who can't really fly," he told her, shaking his head. "Real men don't chose to be a keeper. Someone forces them into it because they're not as skilled as the rest of us. To be a good keeper you should be able to push someone off a broom."

He looked down at himself, then up at Pyxis and shrugged. "I don't mind getting bigger. I should be bigger than this. It's too small."

"I doubt it," Luka said, snorting. "He was smaller than me, but not tiny. I saw him. I saw you with his brother too, even if he'd with your sister. When you shared his bed you weren't exactly keeping your hands to yourself. You like big men."

He shrugged. "It works in my favour. I'm not going to complain about it. You can tell me more about being an Auror, if you want to. Mitre wanted to be one."

That made Pyxis laugh. "Rider and I never slept together at Durmstrang. He was too hung up on my sister. And now he's disgustingly in love with her." She moved closer to him, on the other side of the table, then pressed their lips together. "I like you. You are a big man."

Pyxis let her hand lay on his arm for a moment, feeling his muscles and kind of just wanted to snog him. Instead, she shrugged. "Being an auror is going to be fun. It's full of adventure. Bringing people to justice for their crimes. And I get to fly on a broom sometimes." She grinned at that, then reached up and touched his chest where it peeked out from his chest. "God. Make me stop thinking bad thoughts. I'm trying to have a nice date and I can only think about ripping your clothes off."
