Cepheus was always so miserable when he was bored. He'd read through all his comic books and he'd played through a few games. And then he'd listened to all his Queen and Adam Lambert albus. He really needed something to do. He grumbled and rolled around on his bed for a moment, then pushed himself up and walked into his brother's room.

"We need to find something to do." He informed his brother. "Or I'm literally going to die of boredom. And that's a shitty way to go."

"I'm not looking forward to doing it either. You know, dad is lax about most things, but I can't help but feel like he still expects one of us to be an heir. You know?"

Cepheus shrugged and looked up at the wall, where something was draped over. He frowned for a moment. "What do you think that is?"

"I'm sure he does," Scorpius agreed. "Even if he doesn't want to force us to get married to someone or any of that. Victoire seems to think I'm going to have to do it, since I'm the oldest." He made a face, then looked at the draped thing Cepheus was staring at.

"I don't know," he said, stepping forward. He grabbed the edge of the drape and tugged, pulling it off the frame and jumping a little when there was a face there, frozen. A disturbingly still portrait. "That's... It's our grandfather, right?" He glanced at Cepheus, then leaned closer to the painting, frowning. "I think Bill put something on it too."

"Well. Victoire wants to marry you and have your babies." Cepheus pointed out. "Her thought process is more wishful thinking than anything else. You know?"

Cepheus's eyes went up to the portrait. Most portaits moved, so seeing a still one was odd. He frowned. "Why is it so still?"

"Spell, I think," Scorpius said, getting his wand out again. "Let's not talk about how Victoire wants to marry me. I love her, but not like that. We're just friends, and I know Mum and Dad are happy, but it's not... I'd rather just be with who I want to be with."

He tapped his temple again and grinned when the runes showed up. "It's some kind of stasis spell to freeze the picture. Should I take it off?"

"Should you take it off? What kind of a question is that, half-wit? Of course you should take it off." Cepheus informed his brother and shook his head. "That's our grandfather. We've never gotten to talk to him before and if it's one of those portraits, I'd love to see it."
