James honestly hadn't thought about Cepheus Malfoy very much since he'd snogged him at the Malfoy Christmas party. He had Christmas with a massive family to keep him busy, followed by spending pre-New Years parties with a bunch of his friends from the Quidditch teams at school, and finding someone attractive to spend the night with. James had been having too much fun to think about Cepheus too much, but when he saw Cepheus out in Diagon Alley with his hair wild around his head, stopping to chat only seemed polite.

James wove through shoppers taking advtange of post-Christmas sales to get to him and smiled. "Happy New Years, Malfoy." He dug out a mini candy cane one of his younger cousins had given him from the tree in the Burrow and hld it out to the younger boy. "Did Santa bring you everything you asked for?"

"I don't," James said, shrugging. "I'm half-Weasley and half-Potter. My mother's side doesn't care about money and my father's side has plenty of it. Not Malfoy plenty, but upper-middle class plenty. Besides, I have offers from professional quidditch teams already. I don't have to worry about money."

He shrugged. "You'll be surprised how little I mind watching you try on suits. I have a bit of a thing for me. It's my secret big, gay weakness."

	"Well. I need one for a dinner party my Mum is throwing before Scorpius and I go back to school." He grumbled and rolled his eyes, walking towards the dress robes shop. He glanced at James. "The worst part is I have to find a date because everyone else is going to have one." He informed the other boy. "I think I'll ask Albus, even if he's dating someone." James raised an eyebrow at Cepheus as he followed him into the robe shop. "I'm not sure Al will say yes," he said. "He's pretty smitten with his boyfriend, even if you'd be asking as a friend."

He looked around the shop, then started going through the suits, looking for something that would look good on the other boy. "I could get you one of my friends for the party," James offered. "If you fancy a Quidditch player. Most of them are a bit lacking in the table manner department, but they're good arm candy. Try this one." He pulled a slim-fit suit from the rack.

"I kind of need someone well-mannered and charming if I want to keep up with Scorpius." Cepheus pointed out. "I mean, I don't know who he's bringing, but I know he always asks these really pretty and charming blokes. And he's been spending a lot of time with Caspar Longbottom, which means he's probably going to be talented as well."

Cepheus eyed the suit. "That's going to fit me really tightly and I have a flat arse."

"Caspar Longbottom? Really?" James laughed. "Talented, yes, and well-mannered, but I'm not sure about charming. He's a sweet kid, but he was raised by Professor Longbottom. Who is nice, yes, but not charming."

James shook his head. "Trust me. Your arse will look good in this. If you don't agree, try it on and prove me wrong." He pressed the suit into Cepheus's arms. "Ask me to be your date. I'm well-mannered and charming, even if you don't like me. If all you're looking for is a way to keep up with your brother then that shouldn't be a problem."

"You'd be a last resort." Cepheus assured the other boy and then shook his head. "There's got to be someone I can invite that won't make me regret asking. And I'm sure you'd make me regret it."

Cepheus stepped into the changing room and pulled off the t-shirt he was wearing. He looked at himself in the mirror for a moment, wondering if there was a reason James didn't want him, then pulled on the rest of the suit and stepped out. He frowned. "It's squeezing my dick."

James felt a bit hurt that he was considered a last resort. He was handsome and charming and well-mannered. He was pretty sure the Malfoys didn't know he'd snogged their son and then forgotten about it for a week. He crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for Cepheus to come out of the changing room.

"You --" James laughed, looking Cepheus over in the suit. "Sometimes you have to make sacrafices to look good. A little dick squeezing never hurt anybody." He moved closer to the other boy, adjusting the jacket and then turning him around so he could look at his arse. "Your arse looks good in them. You look grown up. Fuckable. Not like a kid in an over-sized suit. Your brothers both wear clothes like this. Why do you avoid it?"

	Cepheus didn't like being tugged around. He frowned at James for a moment, then looked back at his arse in the mirror. He turned his head back around to look at James and frowned. "It's doesn't fit my personality. I don't feel comfortable in them either." Cepheus pointed out and then shook his head. "I'm more comfortable in what I normally wear." "Everyone dresses up a bit for special occassions, though," James pointed out. "You're just getting this for dinner with your parents, aren't you? So why not get something that would impress them, even if you feel a bit uncomfortable in it? Nobody's asking you to wear it every day."

He reached up and ruffled Cepheus's hair. "You look adorable when you frown, but I'm beginning to think you're mad at me. You want me to go get a looser fitting suit?"

"Stop treating me like I'm a puppy. I don't want to be pet like that." Cepheus looked up at James. "And I don't want to be thought of as adorable or anything like that. I'm a man. I want people to think about stripping off my clothes and fucking me."

He shrugged. "I'll buy this suit." He told him, then began to undo it and pulled off his shirt. "I'm just wearing it the once."
