Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Caspar still felt awful about what had happened between him and Xavier. Even if he'd wanked himself to death over it afterwards. He honestly couldn't help it. He didn't know what to do with himself anymore. But, he knew he had to sit with Xavier and Scorpius through a dinner. He ran his hand through his hair and glanced at the door, adjusting his tie before he knocked on Malfoy Manor's door.

Cepheus didn't like that he'd actually invited James for this dinner. He looked at his brother miserably. "Did you invite that Caspar bloke tonight?" He asked Scorpius. "Albus wouldn't come with me because of his boyfriend. So I had to ask James Potter."

"Are you?" Cepheus asked and then shrugged. He didn't have that many ambitions, if he was honest. He just didn't want to end up being stuck with being the heir. "What team do you want to play for?"

Caspar shrugged at that and frowned. "I'm a catch. I'm good for Scorpius." He informed Xavier, looking him over. "I'm not sure I should be sitting with you. I should ask your mother to move me."

Pansy looked at where Caspar was sitting and frowned. "That's not where he's supposed to be sitting." She told Rider. "Should I fix it?"

"James is a good boy. He's also part Weasley." Charlie pointed out as he looked back at Draco, wrapping an arm around him. "He's a bit of a serial dater, but the last time I checked, the two of them weren't actually dating. He's a Quidditch player."

"I'm not sure yet," James said, shrugging. "I have offers from the Wasps, the Tornadoes, and the Arrows. My mum played professionally for a while too." He reached for his wine glass, taking a sip of it. "She's helping me look at the offers they're making. I want to pick a team I know I can stick with for the long haul, you know?"

"I know you're a catch," Xavier told Caspar. He reached under the table and touched the other boy's leg. Aurora had said he was supposed to feel him up, so he would. "She and Scorpius just don't get along very well. It doesn't have anything to do with you. Don't go yet. I like you here."

Rider looked at Caspar and his son and shook his head. "No," he said. "They seem like they're getting along, and Scorpius and Aurora seem perfectly happy. The elves must have mixed up the cards."

"Of course he is. Look at him. He's far too self-confident for a teenager," Draco grumbled, shaking his head. He took a sip of his wine and glanced at Xavier and Scorpius's boyfriend. "What about the other one? Is he good for Scorpius?"

"Those teams are all shite." Cepheus informed James and shook his head. "You shouldn't do that. You should go for a better team. I'm sure you've got the talent for it. I've never paid attention to you flying before."

Caspar frowned at Xavier. "What are you doing?" He asked, feeling more upset than he should have been. "Why are you doing this, Xavier? You know nothing about me. At all."

"I'll have to ask the elves later." Pansy leaned against Rider and kissed his neck. "Seeing my children with dates makes me feel very old. You should coddle me."

"Caspar is the best person Scorpius could have found. He's a good kid. He makes good marks and he's talented. You should hear him sing and see the passion. Almost as good as Bowie."

Aurora looked at Scorpius and smiled at her brother. "Are you enjoying yourself tonight?" She asked as she picked up her glass of juice.

James snorted, raising an eyebrow at Cepheus. "I'm going to assume you support someone else, then," he said. "Because the Wasps have one of the best track records in the league. You should watch me fly the next time you're at one of our practices. I am good. It's why I've been Captain of the team for three years running."

"So tell me," Xavier said, looking at Caspar. "I want to get to know you. I want to know... everything about you. This is your opportunity to tell me." He smiled at Caspar, trying to soothe him. "There's nothing wrong with us being friends, is there?"

Rider laughed, wrapping an arm around Pansy and pulling her close. "You're not old. You just got married young," he said, kissing her neck. "I'd be happy to coddle you, though. Especially if I can do it with my cock."

Draco raised an eyebrow at that. "Coming from you, that's quite an compliment," he said. "Scorpius did say he was talented. I assumed he was just being a good boyfriend. He must be talented. Scorpius had brough better looking boys to these things before. Of course, I think those were all attempts to impress his mother."

Scorpius looked at Rory and smiled a little. "Yeah. I'd be enjoying myself more if Mum sat me beside my boyfriend instead of across the table from him." It felt really good to be able to claim Caspar as his out loud, instead of pretending they were just friends. "What about you? No date?"

"I'm a Cannon's fan. I cheer the underdogs." Cepheus informed James, looking him over. He shrugged when he started bragging. "I'm aware. You never let me make the team. Ever. So.. it's whatever."

"Friends don't grope each other at the dinner table." Caspar pointed out, glancing at the hand on his leg. He ran a hand through his hair. "What do you want to know about me?"

Pansy made a soft noise and rested a hand on Rider's thigh. "You know that you're more than welcome to start doing that a little later. When the kids are all in their rooms. Probably doing the same thing."

"Possibly. He's always had to try really hard." Charlie told Draco and looked him over. He pressed their lips together. "Just calm down about it. You know? Your kids are amazing. They'll be able to figure things out on their own."

"I didn't want to bog myself down with a boy tonight." Aurora answered simply with a shrug. "It's much easier to sit back and judge everyone else when no one is judging me."
