Albus and Scorpius had agreed to spend some time together. So he'd gotten Scorpius breakfast. With two scones in a brown paper bag and two coffees, he made his way into Scorpius's bedroom to try and wake him up. He put the things on the night stand and sat on the edge of the bed, beside the lump under the blankets.

"Hey Kitten." Albus nudged the blanket gently with a smile, then started to pull the blankets down so that he couldn't live in his cocoon. "Come on. I brought breakfast."

	Scorpius squirmed when Albus tickled him, laughing and trying to get away from him. He sat up a bit, leaning back against his pillows and taking the coffee from Albus. "There's nothing unreasoable about four in the afternoon. That sounds lovely to me." He took a sip of the coffee and then smiled at Albus. "What can I say? Good hair is a Malfoy trait." 	"Bad hair is a Potter trait. Let's hope my brother doesn't ever have children with your brother." Albus teased and then rolled to Scorpius's side. He leaned over him to get his coffee and settled against the pillows. "What are we going to do today, Malfoy?" Albus asked as he looked back at his friend. "Bestie. Bestie of bests." Scorpius made a face at Albus. "It's so weird that Cepheus brought your brother as his date to my mother's dinner thing. I guess he was counting on you coming despite having a boyfriend."

He took another sip from his coffee, then looked at Albus and smiled a little. "I'm going to have my coffee and whatever else you brought my for breakfast. Then I'm going to get dressed. Then we can work something out. We could go shopping."

	"Yeah. It's pretty weird, but I did turn him down when he asked me." Albus pointed out with a shrug, looking Scorpius over. "I would have come as your date if you would have asked me." "James had fun. He flirted with both our parents and then he spent the night annoying Cepheus by calling him pet names and focusing his flirting on him. I really hope Cepheus doesn't try and date him for real. It would be a nightmare if they were together." How would they ever be able to hang out at Albus's again? "I think after you turned Cepheus down I would have had to go to Victoire for a date so we didn't annoy him."

He reached over Albus for the paper bag on his bedside table, digging out one of the scones and taking a bite of it. "Right, so not shopping. We could just... hang out. You could tell me how things are going with your boyfriend."

"Sounds about like my brother. He's such an arse." Albus rolled his eyes and then looked at Scorpius. "I wouldn't go as Cepheus's date. I didn't say I wouldn't go as yours. You're different."

Albus thought about Kit for a moment and shrugged. "I like him. He's nice. Sweet. Talented." He replied. "Things are going good with us. I think he's a little jealous that I'm here today."

Scorpius smiled at Albus a little when he said he was different. Scorpius liked being different. "If you ever need a fake boyfriend to impress your parents I hope I'm first on your list," he said, laughing a little.

He took another bite from his scone. "Kit seemed nice. Why is he jealous? You two have spent a ton of time togther. I don't think there's anything to worry about there."

	"I'm not really sure. I think he's concerned with how attractive you are." Albus admitted as he looked Scorpius over carefully. Scorpius looked at Albus and smiled. "Am I prince charming?" he asked, laughing a little. "Do you have mice that sing to you? I've never seen you in a ballgown before, but I bet you'd be very fetching. Xavier would be happy to do your hair up for the wedding."

He bumped Albus gently with his shoulder. "I would never want to get between two people who were happy together. That would make me the villain and I kind of like this prince thing. Anyway, you don't care about money. Me being rich doesn't mean anything. Am I even your type?"

"You're far from Prince Charming. I'm almost sure Prince Charming didn't have two gay dads, a step-father who is part troll and a mother who is between all three of them." Albus teased Scorpius and grinned.

"You being rich is more of an annoyance to me than anything else." Albus pointed out and snorted. "Are you my type? You tell me. You're thin, pretty and flawless to sight. Not unlike my current boyfriend."

"Well, I can be a modern Prince Charming, can't I? I suppose my family is a bit much, though," Scorpius agreed, laughing. "I'm fairly certain my mum's never been with Charlie, but I could be wrong."

He looked down at himself and then thought about Kit for a moment. "I'm taller than him," Scorpius pointed out. "And he's a brunette and I'm a blond. I suppose, other than that, we are sort of the same type." Being Albus's type should have felt weirder than it did. He thought about Caspar for a moment. Curly haired, open and friendly, normal family, casual and comfortable style. "You're kind of my type too. Is it weird that we never dated?"

"I just thought you knew. I thought everyone knew," Scorpius admitted, shrugging. "As far as I know, Victoire's the only one who ever thought I might marry a girl. She's always talking to me about how we should be together. Well, she was. I think she's given up now, which is good for me."

He gave Albus a surprised look at his admission. "You -- really?" Scorpius asked, smiling a little. "Well, we already know all the worst things about each other. Like that I'm terrible in the mornings and that you like to make me get out of bed."

"That's the worst thing about me? Me trying to get you out of bed?" Albus asked, arching a brow at Scorpius. "If that's my worst flaw, you should have married me years ago."

He laughed softly, glancing at his coffee cup. "I don't know. It's just... everything's changed now, hasn't it?" He asked, his eyes meeting Scorpius's. "I mean, you and I. I always thought you'd be my first kiss."

"I don't know. It's a pretty big flaw from my point of view," Scorpius told Albus, giving him a fond smile. But maybe he was right. They would have been good together. Why hadn't they ever dated?

He looked down at his own coffee, away from Albus's eyes. "You have a boyfriend now," Scorpius agreed, and then glanced at him. "Who I assume you've kissed. My first kiss was Victoire. If kissing her counts. Have you and Kit... done anything?"

Did that mean that Albus had thought about having sex with him? Scorpius felt his cheeks turning a little pink too and he took another sip of his coffee to try and calm himself down. "Why didn't I know that before now? Is this one of those things where I missed all the signs?"

He looked down at his scone for a moment, thinking about Caspar. Scorpius was probably going to make a fool out of himself when they did actually have sex. Caspar knew what he was doing, apparently. "Do you know if Kit has before?" he asked. "I've never... I've snogged a boy, but that's it. At least I have gay dads so I know the theory behind what you do."

"I wouldn't want to do it with someone I didn't love," Scorpius told Albus, shaking his head. "Not the first time, at least. I'd want to feel... safe, you know? It would have to be with someone I trusted completely."

Scorpius laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "You have a boyfriend. You can't be jealous. I'm the one who gets to be jealous. You get to go around holding his hand and kissing him all the time. I don't have anyone I can do that with." Not when they were out in public, anyway.

	"You could find someone. You deserve it." Albus told Scorpius, then reached over and took his hand into his own. He smiled at him, bringing the hand up to his lips, kissing it gently. "You're brilliant, Scorpius. Sure, you're grumpy in the mornings, but you're brilliant." Albus hesitated for a moment, then leaned in and kissed Scorpius softly. "There." (Reply to this)(Parent)
