"Are you going to tell me all about your stay in France before we get to school, or are you going to make me wait?" Victoire asked her sister with a smile, stretching her leg across the compartment of the train and poking her sister with her toe. "I want to know-" She paused when she saw Teddy in the window, waving madly at her. "Merde."

Louis glanced at the door for a moment, then snorted. "Perhaps you'd like to tell us what you've been doing." He told her, then unlatched the door. "Teddy. What do you want? We're having girl talk about our periods. Go away."

Charlotte couldn't believe Victoire would do something like this. Didn't she realise Teddy was their cousin. She stared at the two of them. "You... what are you doing?" she asked, shutting the door before anyone in the corridor could see and then looking away from them.

Teddy could already tell this wasn't going to go well for him. "It's... Charlotte, it's not a big deal."

Kiernan snorted. "I'll make sure to check my food before I eat it," he told Louis. "I was in the top of my class at Hogwarts. I got six NEWTs, including a very high score in History. I travelled around doing research for Gringotts for a while, which is when I met your father. I wrote a couple textbooks and then I worked at Salem School for a few years before travelling some more, and then Hogwarts expressed an interest in hiring me."

Victoire pulled away from Teddy and quickly covered herself, starting to cry. "It's... It's not anything, Charlotte. He's..." She wiped at her eyes. "Please don't tell anyone."

"So I assume we're going to be using your textbooks?" Louis arched a brow at him and shook his head. "So long as you know what you're doing. It's my favourite subjects and I don't want you to ruin it."

"Of course not," Charlotte said, frowning at her sister as Teddy covered himself up too. "You're my sister. But... what do you think you're doing, Tor? You're related. You can't just... I mean, I didn't even think you liked Teddy."

"No, of course not," Kiernan said, shaking his head. "I'm not going to come in half-way through your year and tell you to buy new textbooks. Besides, mine are specific to certain times and places and unless someone is doing a project focusing on one of the topics I cover there's no point. I'm not here to try and sell a few more books. I'm here because I like teaching."

This was not a situation she wanted to be in. Victoire glanced at Teddy and gave him an apologetic look before she glanced at Charlotte. "It won't happen again." She promised her. "You're right. I shouldn't be with him."

"Well. I suppose you'll make it interesting." Louis replied. "However, you aren't going to steal my fags again. Not even if you want to smoke with me. Got it?"
