It was not secret that Benjy hated the cold. Why he’d been gifted a weekend at a ski lodge for Christmas was anybody’s guess. Something about how he lived in Chicago and you couldn’t live there and NOT go skiing was what he’d been told. It wasn’t without its merits, though. While he didn’t expect to do a lot of actual skiing, spending a weekend up here with Abbie definitely sounded like fun.

He’d actually braved the slopes with the attractive brunette once or twice, but he found he much preferred sitting by the fire or relaxing in the hot tub their room had come equipped with.
