Party post!
Chelle's birthday party is on Saturday May 17th! That's this coming Saturday, so here's the IC/OOC post for the party.

Everyone was invited! There's plenty of food and beverages. Her parents did not, of course, provide alcohol, but I'm sure there's some around. ;) There's a pool and a hot tub. She's been saving for this forever and her parents chipped in, too. It's her sweet 16, so she wanted it to be extra awesome!

Post your threads in the comments! Label with approximate time and location. The party starts early afternoon - like around 2ish - and will keep going until super-late Saturday night/early Sunday morning!

Benjy wasn't in the mood to flirt with her. No amount of kissing or touching was going to make him un-see that with Jase from moments before. Maybe he was acting like a jerk, but the last thing he wanted to do was follow that guy up. No matter how much he might normally like Jase, he'd hated watching him kissing Abbie like that.

"It didn't look like nothing. It looked like you were all into him."

Maybe he should just let it go, but he couldn't. He couldn't get the image of her and Forrester out of his head.

Abbie had tried to play it off... she'd tried to tell herself that he wasn't upset, but it was difficult for her to believe that when he was acting as though he didn't even want to be around her.

"It was just a game," she answered. "He spun the bottle. We kissed. It was nothing."

She didn't know what he was thinking. She didn't know if he was jealous or angry or what, but she knew that she didn't like it.

"Come on, baby. We can go find something else to do."

Benjy shook his head as he finally turned to look at her.

"That wasn't nothing. That was.. his hands were all over you. He was.. you were... that definitely wasn't nothing."

Benjy had ended up kissing quite a few girls, himself, during the course of the game, but he hadn't gotten carried away like that with any of them. He didn't even want to be kissing anyone other than Abbie. It was obvious she didn't feel the same way and he should probably just let it go, but he couldn't. Not when she was standing here trying to tell him that what he'd just watched between her and Jase was nothing.

Abbie had wanted Benjy to look at her. When he finally did, though, it made her feel even worse. He didn't look like himself. He looked different... distant. She didnt know hiw to describe it, but it wasn't the way he usually looked at her.

"We got a little carried away," she attempted to explain. "It didn't mean anything, though. It wasn't like it is when we're together."

It probably seemed like a line, but it was the truth. She'd enjoyed kissing Jase, but It didn't come close to rivaling the kisses that they often shared.

They'd gotten carried away, but it didn't mean anything. Benjy wasn't sure if he could completely believe that. They wouldn't have gotten so carried away if it didn't mean something, right? Obviously, there was something about Jase that had made her get carried away like that. She hadn't been like that with any of the other guys, after all.

He gave a little shrug, trying to play it off, but the truth was that he was really bothered by what he'd seen between them.

Abbie didn't know what to say. She only knew that she would say or do anything to make this right... to make him forgive her. He meant the world to her, after all, and she couldn't stand the way he was talking to her.

"It was nothing, Benjy. I got carried away, but it meant nothing. It was just a part of the game. I didn't mean to upset you."

The sincerity of her words was right there in her expression. She meant what she was saying. She hadn't meant to upset him, and that kiss had meant nothing to her.

"You can kiss whoever you part. If you like kissing Jase, it's.. none of my business."

Benjy was upset, but he knew he didn't have a right to be. Abbie wasn't really his girl, no matter how much he liked to think she was.

She bit her bottom lip when he insisted that she didn't need to apologize. It was obvious that he was upset, and if she was the cause, she wanted to apologize whether he thought she needed to or not.

"I can't kiss who I want," she answered, her tone losing it's usual playfulness. "I want to kiss you, but you're acting like you don't even want to talk to me."

Benjy was upset, and Abbie was really close to joining him. She didn't like this. She didn't like they way that he was talking to her... the way that he was acting. She wanted things to be normal... the way that they'd always been.

"It's not.." Benjy stumbled over his words. It wasn't that he doesn't want to talk to her, really. He was just.. he didn't know what he was. Jealous. Hurt. Stupid.

"I just didn't like seeing you.. like that.. with someone else," he admitted quietly. His own tone was serious. Benjy was normally just as playful as she was, but he couldn't seem to be that person at the moment. He couldn't seem to let go of the way she'd just been with Jase, no matter how much he wished he could.

Normal would be nice. He just didn't know how to be normal at the moment.

Her last apology hadn't had the desired effect, and she doubted that this one would. She simply didn't know what else to say. He was upset. She was the one that had upset him. It seemed logical to tell him that she was sorry.

"Tell me how to fix it," she mumbled after a moment. "I'll do anything. I just want you to stop... acting like I killed your puppy."

"Sorry.." he mumbled his own apology. The last thing he wanted was to upset her, but he couldn't seem to control his emotions at the moment. He couldn't seem to just joke and flirt like usual or just reassure her everything was okay.

He didn't know how to fix it. He didn't know how to go back to.. whatever it had been before, before he'd started to realize that he didn't want anyone but Abbie. Before he'd realized how much it sucked to think of her with someone else, to see her.

"There's nothing to fix. I don't have a right to be upset," he told her. That much was true, at least. He was upset, but he didn't have a right to be. Not over her kissing someone else.

"Why are you apologizing?" she asked softly. "You have nothing to apologize for."

Abbie didn't expect him to control his emotions. She didn't even expect him to reassure her that everything was alright. She just... desperately wanted everything to be alright. She loved him, after all, and she didn't want their relationship to be changed because of some stupid kiss.

"You have a right to feel... whatever it is you're feeling," she assured. "I just... I want to make it better. I want us to be... us. I can't stand the thought of us... not being okay."

Benjy looked away, rubbing his hand over the back of his neck as he admitted that. This wasn't how it was supposed to be between them. He knew that. They were supposed to just be having fun. He'd never been this jealous before and he knew.. he knew he wasn't the only one.

It was just different seeing it, he guessed. It was easier to be okay with things just being casual when he didn't have to watch another guy touching her, kissing her. When he didn't have to see how much she obviously liked it.

Abbie didn't know what to say. Despite the fact that they obviously cared for one another, they'd never tried to put a title on their relationship. They'd never even classified it as a relationship. They were friends... just friends... friends that had only ever been focused on having fun.

She studied him for several long moments before giving her head a slight shake. This was stupid. If that kiss had upset him, she simply wouldn't do it again. Problem solved.

"Alright, then..." she murmured. "Since it bothers you so much, I won't do it."

Benjy wouldn't say they had ever been just friends. He'd been smitten with Abbie from the moment he'd first laid eyes on her, after all. They were friends, sure, but there had always been something more there. For him at least.

For a moment, he worried he'd ruined everything between them with his inability to keep his feelings in check. When she assured him that she wouldn't kiss anyone else like that again if it bothered him, though, a large grin broke over his face.

"You mean it?" he asked him. His eyes were dark with emotion as he brushed a hand tenderly over her cheek and before he could hear an answer, he was pressing his lips to hers.

Abbie couldn't truthfully say that they'd only ever been just friends. That was what she'd always told herself, though. It had been easier than admitting that she had feelings for him... especially when she hadn't been certain that those feelings would be returned.

When a large grin spread across his features, she returned it. That was what she'd wanted to see. That was her Benjy.

He didn't give her a chance to answer verbally, but she nodded her head when he asked if she meant what she'd said. There was nothing she wouldn't do for him. If it bothered him so much, she would gladly give it up. He was the only one that she really wanted to kiss, after all.
