On #8: a Question
Random post... I'm trying to figure all this out, though. I've never seen the Dr Who movie that features the 8th doctor, but I have watched the new series that starred Chris Eccleston and David Tennant (and soon, Matt Smith).

I'm confused about the TARDIS appearing to be grey and dead... It never does that in the series so I was wondering if it does in the movie, and if it's actually powered down or whatever, how is it translating Eight's speech into Hylian?

the Tardis turns to stone in the audio drama "Absolution" the story where he took a trip he took to Hell. Shes not dead just mad at him. honestly The tardis has every right to be angry.

The tardis is very much alive. She’s a artificial block-transfer sentience with strong mental ties to the doctor. In times of need the tardis can manifest as any past companion: male, female, robot ect . Despite this the doctor and the fans have maintained that that Its female. She exhibited extreme jealousy by manifesting as Brigadier Lethbridge Stuart during Zagraus, and genuine concern during The Forgotten under the guise of Martha Jones. The tardis is a outdated type 40 and was scheduled for decommission before the doctor stole her. She owes her life to the Doctors sudden departure from Gallifrey. In the past the doctor has suggested that the tardis is a humanitarian, purposely taking him off coarse and putting him in dangerous places where he can save lives and rectify wrongs. Also she LIKES being a policebox and tends to revert to this form even when her chameleon circuit is in order and she can take any form to blend in to the surroundings.
